What God requires
Jesus Christ came to bring us into the presence of God, to reconcile us with God. What separates us from God is sin and Jesus came to take away the sins of the world. If we obey Jesus Christ, repent of sin, are baptized in water, then He brings us into the presence of God. He grants us the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God who comes and dwells in us. Then we are reconciled with God.
What does the Lord require of us? The prophet Micah wrote in Micah 6:8 “And what does the Lord require of thee but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God.” That is what God requires of us; is that we walk humbly with Him, that we live righteously, that we love our neighbor, but above all that we are in that close communion with God DOING what is pleasing to Him all the time. In that communion we listen to His voice, His Spirit dwelling in us and we DO ALL THE TIME that which is pleasing to Him. We seek Him, all the time, day and night, just to be pleasing to our Father and then we become part of the kingdom of God, now already.
Have you become part of that kingdom? Have you obeyed Jesus, been baptized in water and been brought into that close relationship with the Father? Are you doing daily the will of the Father, walking humbly with they God?
May Jesus bless you.
