Fit for Purpose

The normal man, the normal person, does not fit into the kingdom of God. We have to be reborn and molded, made, transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ before we can be used by Him in His kingdom. It is through our relationship with Jesus and our obedience to Him that we become like Him. But we have to YIELD to Him, firstly to repent of sin, of following our own mind, of doing what WE want to do and we must turn to Jesus, obey HIM, obey His words as also written in the gospels, SEEK Him, SEEK His Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us and then YIELD to Him so that He can transform us and change us to fit into the new mold.

Our groove needs to be changed, we need to fit into a new groove, the GROOVE of the Kingdom of Heaven. The change that Jesus works in us NEVER STOPS, it never ends, the molding, the forming, the sharpening, the shaping never ends. As long as we are alive the Holy Spirit will work on us, guide us, teach us and transform us into His likeness but WE MUST BE WILLING AND EAGER to FOLLOW, OBEY and SERVE. If we do not WILLINGLY serve, seek, follow and PRESS ON IN we WILL NOT enter the kingdom of heaven, we will not become useful and fruitful in the kingdom of God.

We need to SEEK Jesus every day, live in utter holiness and righteousness and MAKE OURSELVES AVAILABLE to Him, LISTEN to His Holy Spirit, OBEY and FOLLOW Him and then He can use us. Then we can be useful instruments in His kingdom. If we are not willing and useful and fruitful then we are worthless just like the branch that does not bear fruit, it will get cut off and burned. We must YIELD ourselves to the Holy Spirit. We must present ourselves for service in the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is about US FOLLOWING AND OBEYING JESUS CHRIST, SERVING HIM as LORD AND MASTER. Are you part of the kingdom of God? Are you in Christ and bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit? Are you DOING what Jesus is guiding you to do every day?

Breaking the groove

If you seriously decide to follow Jesus, it will rudely and radically interrupt your life. You will have a new way of looking at life, you will have new priorities. Your priority will be to please Jesus and you will not be interested in the things that you were previously interested in. You will not be attracted by the things that were previously ruling your life. Your focus will be on Jesus and on being pleasing to Him. Jesus will be your life. Your focus will be on Jesus and on being led by the Holy Spirit. That will take you out of the groove that you have been in.
If you follow Jesus, you will trust in Him and He will provide your needs, He will go ahead of you. He will dictate your life but as long as you are still looking after yourself, doing things your way, then you are not following Jesus. Then you are just trying to fit religion into your way of living.
Following Jesus will radically disrupt all your plans because your focus will be on Him, on going where He sends you, doing what He tells you to do. But you cannot GO unless He sends you. You cannot DO unless He tells you to do it. You cannot HEAR what He is telling you if you are not listening and if you do not have the Holy Spirit. You need to have the Spirit of Christ IN you, follow Him, obey Him and do His will to be pleasing to Him.
Have you met Jesus? Has your live being disrupted? Did Jesus break the groove of your existence or are you carrying on as normal because then you have not yet met Jesus. You are just busy with RELIGION. You need Jesus if you want eternal life. You will not find Jesus in the Bible, in a church, with other people, you will find Him when you seek Him on your knees and He will reveal Himself to you if you are SERIOUS about knowing Him. If you have truly met Jesus, you will be a DIFFERENT PERSON, you will be CHANGED in a moment and you will not be the same person anymore. Have you met Jesus Christ?
