Fit for Purpose

The normal man, the normal person, does not fit into the kingdom of God. We have to be reborn and molded, made, transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ before we can be used by Him in His kingdom. It is through our relationship with Jesus and our obedience to Him that we become like Him. But we have to YIELD to Him, firstly to repent of sin, of following our own mind, of doing what WE want to do and we must turn to Jesus, obey HIM, obey His words as also written in the gospels, SEEK Him, SEEK His Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us and then YIELD to Him so that He can transform us and change us to fit into the new mold.

Our groove needs to be changed, we need to fit into a new groove, the GROOVE of the Kingdom of Heaven. The change that Jesus works in us NEVER STOPS, it never ends, the molding, the forming, the sharpening, the shaping never ends. As long as we are alive the Holy Spirit will work on us, guide us, teach us and transform us into His likeness but WE MUST BE WILLING AND EAGER to FOLLOW, OBEY and SERVE. If we do not WILLINGLY serve, seek, follow and PRESS ON IN we WILL NOT enter the kingdom of heaven, we will not become useful and fruitful in the kingdom of God.

We need to SEEK Jesus every day, live in utter holiness and righteousness and MAKE OURSELVES AVAILABLE to Him, LISTEN to His Holy Spirit, OBEY and FOLLOW Him and then He can use us. Then we can be useful instruments in His kingdom. If we are not willing and useful and fruitful then we are worthless just like the branch that does not bear fruit, it will get cut off and burned. We must YIELD ourselves to the Holy Spirit. We must present ourselves for service in the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is about US FOLLOWING AND OBEYING JESUS CHRIST, SERVING HIM as LORD AND MASTER. Are you part of the kingdom of God? Are you in Christ and bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit? Are you DOING what Jesus is guiding you to do every day?

Born Again - Transformed not Indoctrinated

Many people claim to be born again but they are not, they do not know Jesus Christ. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, and Jesus Christ is IN YOU and you are IN CHRIST, then you HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST and then you want to do His will. You do not gradually change your mind. Immediately, when you accept Jesus, He TRANSFORMS YOU, YOU BECOME A NEW PERSON. “He who is in Christ is a NEW MAN”, you are transformed because then you can SEE the kingdom of God, you experience Jesus Christ as your LORD, your MASTER. You want to please Him. The old things have passed away, everything has become NEW, you are a NEW MAN and you want to please your Master, Jesus Christ.

Have YOU been born again? Have you been transformed? Has Jesus Christ come into your life, into your heart? Has he transformed your mind or are you still the same person? ARE YOU TRYING TO BE WHAT YOU ARE NOT? That is why believers cannot stop sinning, inside they are not transformed. They are still what they used to be. They are lovers of sin and lovers of this world and haters of God BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BORN AGAIN. They haven't met Jesus. If you have met Jesus AND you have accepted Him as your King, He transforms you IN A MOMENT, and you love Him, you hate sin, you don't care for the things of the world BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD and you WANT TO BE PLEASING TO THE KING.

Have YOU been born again? Are you a new man? Are you IN CHRIST? Have you been TRANSFORMED?

Not a joy ride - FIRE.

Jesus Christ gives eternal life to those who BELIEVE in Him and then FOLLOW Him and OBEY Him. Jesus said that:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross daily and come here, follow Me.” If you follow Jesus Christ He will take you through the water, you will have to be baptized for the washing off of your sins and He will take you through the FIRE. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and with FIRE.

If you follow Jesus He will purify you, He will cleanse you. You will have to BE WILLING TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING, your dignity, your family, your possessions, everything, even your life. If you are not willing to give up everything to follow Jesus Christ then you are not worthy of Him. If you follow Jesus Christ then you LISTEN to Him, and you OBEY Him. You do not run after your own plans and your own ambitions, you WAIT ON HIM and you follow HIM.

IF you follow Jesus He will take you through the FIRE. He will cleanse you, He will purify you. He will purify you of worldly desires, He will cleanse you of everything of this world. You will not FIT INTO THIS WORLD any more, you will not be of the world. You will have no desire for the things of the world. The world will shun you, reject you, persecute you but you will be suitable for the kingdom of God. IF YOU STILL FIT INTO THIS WORLD THEN YOU CANNOT FIT INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD, you have to GO THROUGH THE FIRE, be molded, purified and cleansed so that you can be suitable for the kingdom of God.

Are you willing to give up everything and follow Jesus Christ? Jesus will not take you on a joy ride, He will take you through the FIRE. Are you ready for the FIRE? Are you ready to follow Jesus Christ? If you want eternal life YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE FIRE.

Willingly Transformed Through Suffering

Jesus called many for the purpose of the Kingdom of God but of those that He called not many answered to the call. He called each of them for a purpose. We read in Romans 8:28-30. Paul wrote: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; 30and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”

He called many for the purpose of His Kingdom to become conformed to the image of Jesus, to carry out the specific purpose for which He has called them. IF WE ARE NOT WILLING TO ANSWER TO THE CALL AND FOLLOW JESUS, WE WILL NOT BE CHANGED INTO HIS LIKENESS, WE WILL NOT BE TRANSFORMED TO BE SONS OF GOD, TO BECOME PART OF HIS KINGDOM. The change that He works in us is often painful, it often goes with suffering because even Jesus, though He was the Son of God, learned through what He suffered, but He willingly submitted Himself to the Father, and therefor we must willingly, joyfully follow Jesus and submit ourselves to the discipline of the Father so that we can be suitable to fit into God's plan that He has called us for. If we are not willing to submit ourselves to God, if we are not willing to take ownership and responsibility for the task which He has called us for then we have no expectation. Then we have no hope of eternal life because we are not interested in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Has Jesus called you? Have you answered to the call? Are you submitting yourself to the discipline of the Holy Spirit so that you can be transformed into the image of Christ? Have you answered to the call?

Are you following Jesus?

If we want to be part of the Kingdom of God we must submit ourselves and we must follow Jesus. He said:”Whoever wishes to come after Me must deny Himself, pick up His cross and follow Me, every day until the very end.”

You cannot have your best life now and expect to spend eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. What is your expectation? Where will you spend eternity? Have you answered to the call and are you following Jesus?
