Feeding the Flesh

A person who is born again and who has the Spirit of Jesus Christ in him is focused on Jesus all the time. He is TUNED IN to the Holy Spirit, in him, and He follows the guidance of the Holy Spirit in everything that he does. His whole life is determined by the Spirit of God because he LISTENS and he FOLLOWS Jesus Christ. He seeks the will of God all the time.

But the natural person, normal person goes after the desires of his flesh, those things that give him pleasure. He tries to fit in with the world, with other people. He tries to please his wife, his children, his boss, his family, his friends, and that takes him away from Jesus Christ. People practice hobbies, they have certain passions in life, things that interest them. (TV, sports, video games...) That is the flesh. Those are the things that take our focus off Jesus Christ.

If we are not focused on Jesus and the kingdom of God and being pleasing to Jesus, then we turn our back on Him, we get busy with other things and that is when we lose Jesus. The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:14 that those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. If we live according to our flesh, the desires of our flesh, then we cannot please God and we will perish, but if we by being tuned in to Jesus, LISTEN to the Holy Spirit and DO the WILL OF GOD, then we will LIVE.

The difference between a child of God and the rest is that a child of God is tuned in to the Spirit of God and CHOOSES to do the will of God even if he upsets other people, even if they reject him, even if he gets penalized. But if we seek to please people and run after our own desires we will perish.

The question is: Do we actively seek Jesus and do His will or are we feeding the flesh, our own flesh and the flesh of others? Who are we trying to please, Jesus or the flesh?

Seek God Not Just His Benefits

The whole world wants the benefits of God, the good things, the good life, eternal life but they do not want God's ways. Jesus Christ is God's WAY. God sent Jesus Christ to come and show us the WAY to be children of God and if we want eternal life we will have to follow Jesus Christ and His ways.

You cannot have God's benefits without having God's ways. If you reject Jesus Christ and His ways you will perish.

Are you following and obeying Jesus Christ? Are you going after Him and after His ways or do you just want God's benefits. People seek eternal life everywhere BUT Jesus. Jesus said to the pharisees:”You seek the scriptures in there to find eternal life but you refuse to come to Me and have life. Have you found Jesus? Are you going after Jesus and His ways? Are you seeking His approval? Have you received His Spirit and are you led by His Spirit? Do you follow and OBEY Jesus? Do you go after Him every day?

Jesus is the WAY. He is the DOOR and He will say to many in that day:”Go away I never knew you, you workers of wickedness.” Why? They didn't follow after Jesus. They followed after their own ways and they thought that they could have God's life without Jesus. Without Jesus you have got NOTHING. You have got no hope. Are you going after Jesus and God's ways or are you just seeking the benefits? Because in the end you will be a fool. He will turn you away and say to you:”I don't know you where you are from.”

Do you know Jesus and does He know you? Are you seeking and following HIM every day?

Pleasure or Jesus

The whole world is running after pleasure. They just want to have a good time but they don't want God, they don't want His interference. They want eternal life but they don't want to obey God and that is why they they are going to hell. They are more lovers of pleasure than lovers of God.

If we do not love Jesus NOW and if we do not want to live to please Him, why would we want to spend eternity with Him? GOD WILL GIVE US THE DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS. He will remove us from His face and we will go into UTTER DARKNESS. We will lose all the blessings and all the pleasures that he freely gives us every day and we don't thank Him or recognize Him for it. We will go into utter darkness and desolation AWAY FROM THE PRESENCE OF GOD into the depths of HELL, because where God is not, there is darkness and misery and death, no life, no hope at all.

If we do not want Jesus now we will spend eternity AWAY for His presence. Do you want Jesus or do you want pleasure? We cannot have both.

You are NOT forgiven just because you believe

Many people wrongly believe that they have been forgiven all their sins, past, present and future, because they have confessed that they believe in Jesus Christ. They have NOT been FORGIVEN! You are only forgiven and Jesus only blots out your sins of the past IF you truly REPENT and turn away from following after sin, the lust of your flesh, and you FOLLOW and OBEY Jesus Christ. He only forgives you if you take on the NEW LIFE, if you are BORN AGAIN of the Spirit of God and of WATER, if you are baptized in water for the washing off of your sin in OBEDIENCE to Jesus; only then does He forgive you and blot out your sin.

You need to STAY with Jesus and OBEY Him, to have eternal life. If you turn back to your sin and if you do not obey Jesus Christ, if you refuse to follow Him but you go after your own mind and after your own lusts YOU WILL PERISH! You are NOT FORGIVEN! Your sins will be held against you, past, present and future IF you do not REPENT, TURN AWAY from your evil ways and follow Jesus Christ.

If you WANT eternal life you have to DENY YOURSELF, stop doing what YOU want to do, pick up your cross and follow Jesus Christ. You WILL bear a cross, you WILL encounter difficulties, you WILL have to deny your flesh, you WILL suffer persecution, you might get killed, you WILL have to give up friends and the things that you like, the pleasures of sin and of this world, and FOLLOW Jesus Christ IF you want eternal life.

You will only have forgiveness, pardon of your sins, if you STOP SINNING, OBEY Jesus and FOLLOW Him. Do not be deceived, OBEY Jesus and you will live. If you refuse to follow Him and obey Him you will perish.

Most Christians are FAKE and will PERISH in HELL

Most Christians do not KNOW, FOLLOW or OBEY Jesus Christ. Most Christians will perish in hell. Most Christians have never denied themselves, have never picked up their cross and have never started following Jesus Christ. Most Christians are not even baptized in water. Jesus Christ will say to Most Christians:”Go away I never knew you.”
Most Christians have taken on a belief, a religion, based on the truth while they themselves are denying the truth. The truth IS Jesus Christ and OBEDIENCE to Him, a close relationship with Him; obeying His words, following Him every day, that is the truth.
Most Christians never stopped sinning. Most Christians never gave up their own desires, they are running after their own desires, fulfilling themselves. They are slaves to their own lusts, it is all about THEM not about the kingdom of God. It is all about what they can get out of it. Jesus called us to serve HIM. If you are running after your desires you are a SLAVE TO SIN. If we live according to the FLESH we will DIE but if we live according to the Spirit of God then we will LIVE. The only way that the Spirit of God will guide you is if you DENY YOURSELF and GO AFTER Jesus, SEEK Him and OBEY Him. Obey His words, REPENT, STOP SINNING, be righteous and holy, be BAPTIZED IN WATER for the washing off of your sin, SIN NO MORE, open yourself to the Holy Spirit of God, invite Him in and SEEK Him EVERY DAY. Go after Him and He will reveal Himself to you. But if you go after the lusts of your flesh you will reap destruction. You have to GO AFTER Jesus and DO the will of God, then you will have eternal life.
Most Christians are going after their flesh. They are not going after Jesus nor are they seeking the kingdom of God and they will reap destruction. Are YOU going after Jesus, denying yourself, picking up your cross every day and following Him? Or are you doing what YOU please, what YOU want to do? If you live according to your flesh you will perish but if by the Spirit of God dwelling in you, you mortify, KILL the deeds of the flesh and DO the works of God then you will live. Are you DOING the works of God? Are you OBEYING Jesus Christ or are you also a deceived, lost Christian on his way to hell?

Greater than Jesus Christ

Many people say that they believe in Jesus Christ but very few serve Him as Lord and Master. If Jesus is Lord and Master then He is greater than everything and anything in your life, then you regard Him above all things, then He is MASTER.
To many believers, many other things are greater than Jesus, their government, their wife, their husband, their own priorities, their opinion, their country, their pastor, their doctor, many other things are greater to them than Jesus Christ. If anything is greater to us than Jesus Christ then He is NOT our Lord and Master and we are not serving Him and He will also reject us.
If we do not serve Him as LORD and MASTER then we do not belong to HIM and we do not belong to HIS KINGDOM. If we do not give HIM the RESPECT and REVERENCE that is due to Him then Jesus Christ is not the greatest in our lives and we are not part of the Kingdom of Heaven and we will not enter His Kingdom, we will not have eternal life.

Pleasure Seeking Christians

People want to go to heaven when they die because they don't want to go to hell, they want to avoid punishment. They don't want to go to heaven because they love Jesus and they love God, it is just because they want to avoid pain and suffering. People are lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

As the apostle Paul also wrote to Timothy in 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; AVOID SUCH MEN AS THESE.“

Unfortunately those are the men that are sitting in churches today. They are pleasure seekers, churches are full of professing sinners. They say:”We are all sinners,” and therefor they have appointed for themselves preachers and teachers that tickle their ears, that make them feel GOOD AND INTERPRET THE SCRIPTURES TO THEIR LIKING. They are looking for a GOOD CHURCH with good entertainment, nice seats and “good” doctrine, but they don't love Jesus. They hate Him, they won't obey Him. They love their sin. They say:”We are all sinners,” and they are! They are on their way to hell and they don't even realize it. They quote scriptures to “prove” to you that they have salvation but they do nOt love the Savior, they do not know Him and they do not obey Him. He will say to them:”Go away I never knew you.”

If you want eternal life, all you need is Jesus Christ and His words, the WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE as they are also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. If you OBEY those words, REPENT and TURN from serving yourself, and you are baptized in water, you seek Jesus with all your heart, you OBEY His words then He will reveal Himself to you, he will give His Holy spirit to live IN you, to GUIDE you, to TEACH you and to LEAD you into all truth. His Holy Spirit will also remind you of His words as written in the gospels. If you OBEY THOSE WORDS you will have eternal life.

Without Jesus you have NOTHING, no hopE, no future. If you do not love Him and OBEY Him you will perish. SEEK Jesus, FIND Him, OBEY Him and STAY with Him until the very, very end. LOVE Him or you will perish. Are you a lover of God or a lover of pleasure? Are you seeking pleasure or are you seeking to be pleasing to Jesus?

Not a joy ride - FIRE.

Jesus Christ gives eternal life to those who BELIEVE in Him and then FOLLOW Him and OBEY Him. Jesus said that:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross daily and come here, follow Me.” If you follow Jesus Christ He will take you through the water, you will have to be baptized for the washing off of your sins and He will take you through the FIRE. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and with FIRE.

If you follow Jesus He will purify you, He will cleanse you. You will have to BE WILLING TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING, your dignity, your family, your possessions, everything, even your life. If you are not willing to give up everything to follow Jesus Christ then you are not worthy of Him. If you follow Jesus Christ then you LISTEN to Him, and you OBEY Him. You do not run after your own plans and your own ambitions, you WAIT ON HIM and you follow HIM.

IF you follow Jesus He will take you through the FIRE. He will cleanse you, He will purify you. He will purify you of worldly desires, He will cleanse you of everything of this world. You will not FIT INTO THIS WORLD any more, you will not be of the world. You will have no desire for the things of the world. The world will shun you, reject you, persecute you but you will be suitable for the kingdom of God. IF YOU STILL FIT INTO THIS WORLD THEN YOU CANNOT FIT INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD, you have to GO THROUGH THE FIRE, be molded, purified and cleansed so that you can be suitable for the kingdom of God.

Are you willing to give up everything and follow Jesus Christ? Jesus will not take you on a joy ride, He will take you through the FIRE. Are you ready for the FIRE? Are you ready to follow Jesus Christ? If you want eternal life YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE FIRE.
