Make DISCIPLES OF JESUS not friends

)

The world wants to make friends with other people, with influential people. Christians like to use the names of famous name preachers, they want to be attached to and associate with famous names and great people. But that is not what Jesus called us for. He commanded us to make disciples of HIMSELF, not to make friends and influence people and build churches. It is all about Jesus and the Kingdom of God, about knowing Jesus and following Him, getting our wisdom and guidance from Him.

If we follow Jesus we will be persecuted, rejected, excluded from worldly people and we have to cherish HIS PRESENCE, His acceptance and His approval more than anything else. If you follow Jesus Christ you will often be alone but you will be with Jesus Christ. It is not about friends and being accepted by others. It is about our relationship with Jesus Christ and being pleasing to HIM.

Alone WITH Jesus

Being part of a church community and having fellowship with like-minded believers does not make you part of the kingdom of God, it does not make you a child of God. Neither does it make you pleasing to Jesus Christ. It just makes people feel secure because they are not alone, they are with other like-minded people who believe the same things, the same deception.

Jesus Christ said that:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny Himself, pick up his cross and come her follow Me, EVERY DAY.” Jesus will take you along the straight and narrow road, the unbeaten track, where you are often ALONE WITH HIM, rejected by other people, but you experience the PRESENCE of the Living God, you LISTEN to His voice. He will take you through the valley of death and then He will lead you beside the quiet waters where you experience His comfort and His presence KNOWING that you are pleasing to your Lord and Master, you are PART OF HIS KINGDOM!

Have you got alone with Jesus? Do you follow Him every step of the WAY, wherever He guides you off the beaten track, being WITH HIM rather than with other people, or do you crave the acceptance of other men and the company of other people.

Following Jesus is a lonely road BUT you live in the presence of the living God. If you still treasure the company of people and the acceptance of men you cannot be following Jesus Christ and seeking the presence of the Living God.

No Works Grace Gospel for Lazy Cowards

The NO WORKS GRACE GOSPEL DECEPTION appeals to selfish, lazy cowards who are not fit for the kingdom of heaven. Such people WILL NOT follow Jesus Christ. They do not meet the requirements to be a servant of the kingdom of heaven. They WILL NOT follow Jesus Christ and they WILL NOT have ETERNAL LIFE.

Jesus Christ calls us to be SERVANTS of the kingdom of heaven, to deny ourselves of earthly pleasures and to GO AFTER the kingdom of heaven; to live godly lives, to be righteous and holy and to SERVE Jesus Christ, our King and Master, to be available and ready, to go where He sends us and to DO what He tell us to do WHENEVER He sends us and WHEREVER He sends us to do WHATEVER He requires of us. A servant of God does not have a time schedule or his own plans and agenda. He is at the disposal of his Master 24 hours a day, he does not have a TIME OUT or SABBATICALS. He does not RETIRE. He follows his Master and does His pleasure until the very end. That is what discipleship is about. That is what Jesus Christ requires of those who follow Him. That is what is required of YOU if you want eternal life.

Jesus Christ said:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross daily and come hear, follow Me.” Are you WILLING to follow Jesus Christ and DO what He requires of you?

Do not lose Jesus

Eternal life is KNOWING, OBEYING and FOLLOWING Jesus Christ. Without Jesus we can do nothing. His sheep LISTEN to His voice and they FOLLOW Him. The only safe place is to BE WITH JESUS. The moment we lose Jesus, we lose LIFE.
Many people meet Jesus and then immediately they start looking for other sheep, they do not follow Jesus. If you meet Jesus you MUST stay with Him if you want eternal life. You immediately stop sinning, you OBEY Him, you are baptized in water, you live righteously and holy and you SEEK Him with all your heart. You LISTEN to His VOICE and you follow HIM, you don't follow other people. If you follow other people you will fall into the ditch. The moment that you lose Jesus you lose LIFE.
Are you following Jesus? How real is your relationship with Jesus? Those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. If you are born again you become a son of God, a child of God but then you have to be led by the Spirit of God, by the Holy Spirit. If you do not follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, PRAY, WAIT on the Lord, LISTEN until He speaks to you, then OBEY; if you don't DO that you lose Jesus and you lose life.
Are you WITH Jesus, FOLLOWING Him every day, DOING what He commands you to do, or are you running after your own mind and after other people? Do not lose Jesus! STAY WITH JESUS or you WILL NOT have eternal life!

Radical Change

Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life. If we want eternal life we must abandon our own plans and follow Jesus, obey Him. If you decide to follow Jesus Christ, you are no longer the master of your own destiny, then you abandon yourself onto Jesus and you follow Him according to His plan. You live according to His words, He guides you, He teaches you, you go where He sends you and you DO what He tells you to do.

Jesus has called many but very few are willing to follow and obey Him. Jesus is the ONLY WAY to eternal life. Have you accepted the invitation? Are you following Jesus Christ? Has He become your LIFE? Has your life drastically changed or is your life still about yourself? Jesus Christ is not a PLUG-IN, He does not fit into our plans and into our life. Either He IS our LIFE or we do not have life.

Do you have LIFE? Are you following Jesus Christ?

Not a joy ride - FIRE.

Jesus Christ gives eternal life to those who BELIEVE in Him and then FOLLOW Him and OBEY Him. Jesus said that:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross daily and come here, follow Me.” If you follow Jesus Christ He will take you through the water, you will have to be baptized for the washing off of your sins and He will take you through the FIRE. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and with FIRE.

If you follow Jesus He will purify you, He will cleanse you. You will have to BE WILLING TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING, your dignity, your family, your possessions, everything, even your life. If you are not willing to give up everything to follow Jesus Christ then you are not worthy of Him. If you follow Jesus Christ then you LISTEN to Him, and you OBEY Him. You do not run after your own plans and your own ambitions, you WAIT ON HIM and you follow HIM.

IF you follow Jesus He will take you through the FIRE. He will cleanse you, He will purify you. He will purify you of worldly desires, He will cleanse you of everything of this world. You will not FIT INTO THIS WORLD any more, you will not be of the world. You will have no desire for the things of the world. The world will shun you, reject you, persecute you but you will be suitable for the kingdom of God. IF YOU STILL FIT INTO THIS WORLD THEN YOU CANNOT FIT INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD, you have to GO THROUGH THE FIRE, be molded, purified and cleansed so that you can be suitable for the kingdom of God.

Are you willing to give up everything and follow Jesus Christ? Jesus will not take you on a joy ride, He will take you through the FIRE. Are you ready for the FIRE? Are you ready to follow Jesus Christ? If you want eternal life YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE FIRE.

What is Jesus saying to YOU?

What is Jesus saying to you today? Jesus said:”My sheep listen to My voice and they follow Me.” If we are His sheep we will HEAR Him, we will GO AFTER Him, we will FOLLOW Him.

The reason why people are not hearing His voice is because they are not His sheep, or some sheep are just not listening to Him. He says:”Draw closer to Me and I will draw closer to you.” If you seek Him, you find Him but if like most believers, you are not interested in hearing His voice, He will also say to you, like He will say to so many BUSY believers, He will say:”Go away I never knew you, you workers of wickedness.”

Have you spent time with Jesus TODAY? Are you LISTENING to Him, WAITING ON Him, SEEKING Him? Or are you not one of His sheep?

More than just words

If you are a born again follower of Jesus Christ then you will be like Him. It is not your words, but your life, that will tell the story. Jesus said to Nicodemus, as we read in John 3:8 “The wind blows where it wishes, you don't know where it is coming from and you don't know where it is going, and so is every person who I born of the Spirit if God.” It is because they are led by the Holy Spirit and they do what Jesus tells them to do, they go where He sends them.

Those who truly follow Jesus Christ will be hated by all men. They will speak His words, they themselves being disciples of Jesus Christ, will be making other disciples of Christ. They are not of the world, neither do they love the things of the world. Their only desire is to follow Jesus and be pleasing to Him. Their life tells the story, not their words. Anybody can quote scripture but not many follow Jesus. Not many of those who call themselves Christians, do really follow Jesus Christ. Not many of them do really have any relationship with Jesus.

If we follow Jesus we will walk like He walked and we will speak His words. If we want eternal life we have to follow Jesus and walk like He walked and speak His words and then our life will show that we are disciples of Jesus Christ.

Do not follow your spouse

Many believers will end up in hell because they chose to rather please their husband, their wife, their children or a friend than to obey and please Jesus. Remember Adam and Eve. Adam was seduced by Eve. Remember Samson and Delilah. Remember the words of Jesus Christ in Luke 14:26,27 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. “Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” We cannot be pleasing to Jesus if we do not totally devote ourselves to Him and OBEY Him. If you want eternal life you have to TOTALLY OBEY Jesus Christ. If you allow your wife, your husband, anybody else, to come in between you and Jesus it can mean the end of your relationship with Jesus and you will perish, you will spend eternity in hell. If you want to follow Jesus you must GO where He sends you and you must DO what He tells you and not allow anything or anybody to prevent you from obeying Him. May Jesus bless you.

No Shortcuts - No easy way

There is no shortcut, no easy way into the kingdom of Heaven. There is only One Way and His Name is Jesus Christ. Many people think that they can find themselves a nice church, they can find themselves a nice doctrine that suits them, they think they can bypass Jesus Christ but there is only ONE WAY that you can enter into the kingdom of Heaven and have eternal life and that is by OBEYING and FOLLOWING Jesus Christ on the NARROW WAY, by denying yourself, picking up your cross and following Him, every day until the very end. The reason why most believers will not make it through the Narrow Door into the kingdom of Heaven is because they did not try, they did not compete according to the rules, they did not deny themselves and follow Jesus every day. There is no easy way. The words of Jesus are the gospel of the Kingdom. If you want to enter the Kingdom of God and have eternal life you have to OBEY THE WORDS OF JESUS as written in the gospels also, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. There is no other way, Jesus Christ alone is the way. May Jesus bless you.

Don't go unless Jesus sent you

Jesus has called each one of us for a specific purpose and we can only achieve that purpose if we receive our instructions from Him. If we go on our own or we go where we think, we cannot be pleasing to Him. We must be led by the Holy Spirit. Jesus has prepared each of us for a specific task and we need to cleanse ourselves, purify ourselves and wait on Him and then He will use us. He will send us for that specific task that He has prepared for us, where He wants to use us. We need to be led by the Holy Spirit. If we are not led by the Holy Spirit we cannot please Him. We cannot please God doing what we want to do.

Many people go to mission fields because they had a “feeling” or other people told them. You need to hear from Jesus and you need to be sure that He has sent you. The apostles went under guidance of the Holy Spirit and they went in the power of the Holy Spirit and they did the works that Jesus sent them for. They achieved what He sent them for.

Some years ago I was invited to go and speak at a small church that was held in a school in a very very troubled suburb. It was a predominantly black suburb and it was very dangerous for white people to go in there but I used to go every Sunday morning. And then one Sunday morning I woke up 4 a.m. In the morning after I had dreamed that I was on my way to go and preach at this little church and I got shot, and I was lying there dead but I heard one man saying to the other one:”Why did you shoot him? He comes here to help us.” And this guy said:”I don't care what he does.” I knew that the Lord was telling me not to go there. He was warning me not to go there. The next morning I called the pastor of that church and I told him:”Brother I will not be coming there today, The Lord told me not to come.” He said:”Brother, the Lord will protect you, you must come here please!” But I did not go. During that same week there was another person who went into that same township, a white person, to go and hand out food and help people and he was shot dead, that very same township! You see, we need to be led by the Holy Spirit, we need to LISTEN to the Holy Spirit of God. It can be fatal if we do not listen. We must be led by the Spirit in order to do the will of God.

It is the will of God that we bear fruit, thereby the Father is glorified, but we can only bear fruit if we stay IN CHRIST, if we LISTEN to the Holy Spirit. We must GO where He sends us and then we will be pleasing to Him. We cannot go on our own, we must go where He sends us. Be sure to DO what Jesus has sent you to do. Make yourself available to Jesus, pray, LISTEN to the Holy Spirit and He will send you and He will use you for that which He has called you.

WALK WITH GOD

God loves us and He wants us to be in close communion with Him, as He also spoke through the mouth of Micah the prophet. Micah 6:8 ”He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?” That is all God requires of us, is to DO JUSTICE to all people around us, to walk in righteousness, to LOVE KINDNESS and to WALK HUMBLY WITH OUR GOD.

God did not leave us as orphans. He drew us closer to Him through Jesus. Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us. God sent His only Son to come to this earth to reconcile us with Him but even more than that, He sent us His Spirit, HIMSELF, the Holy Spirit, to come and live with us, to be with us every moment.

If you accept Jesus as your LORD He immediately comes in, His Spirit comes into you and He writes His laws in your heart. His presence comes and lives with you, that INNER VOICE that wants to guide you, that close companion that is with you always. Have you invited Jesus into your life? Has that INNER VOICE come and lived inside of you? And then you need to LISTEN to that voice of His Holy Spirit. That is Emmanuel, God with you, Jesus living in you AND THEN YOU WALK WITH GOD, every day, every moment of every day! Not with people, not with friends, YOU WALK WITH GOD because He has pur His Spirit in you, but you need to focus on Him all the time. LISTEN intently, in your heart, He will speak to you.

When you first met Jesus you KNEW that you had met Him, he had forgiven your sins and He had given you eternal life. You had that joy of salvation, you KNEW God! And He has never left you but you need to walk with Him every day and you need to take others to Him. You need to focus on Him all the time, day and night, every moment, without waver. You have got to be focused on that INNER VOICE. If you need wisdom, you say:”Lord, please help me!” If you cannot hear His voice you say:”Lord, why can I not Hear You?” and He will show you. If you have done sin then the voice goes quiet. If you have disobeyed Him or if you have sinned, then you have left Him and you need to get back to Him. You need to REPENT, you need to OBEY Him! Obey Jesus, REPENT and be BAPTIZED in water and He will put his Spirit inside of you. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and you can WALK WITH GOD.

He called you to walk with Him every moment. ARE YOU WALKING WITH GOD? Have you found Jesus. Is that INNER VOICE SPEAKING TO YOU are you LISTENING? ARE YOU WALKING WITH GOD?

The Bumpy Road of Faith

Not many people follow Jesus because when you follow Jesus YOU are not in control. You don't know where He is taking you and you need to follow by faith. You need to trust Him. People are not interested in that. If you follow Jesus you cannot keep looking out the window, second guessing and doubting. Whoever puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not worthy of the Kingdom of God.

When you follow Jesus the road will be bumpy and you will have to hold on by faith. You will need to trust Him and leave Him in control. He does not need your opinion or your advice. It is His Kingdom and if you want to be part of His Kingdom, you follow HIM. He is LORD, He is MASTER and you TRUST Him. You go along for the ride and He will take you places that you do not expect, where you did not plan. Life will take some unexpected turns and you will just have to hang on by faith! It is a matter of PRAY, TRUST and OBEY, or else you will not follow Jesus.

Many believers never started following Jesus. Most of them have not repented, they haven't stopped sinning. They are still going on their own jolly way, they are doing their own thing. They are having their own life and they want to have salvation. If you want to have eternal life YOU MUST FOLLOW JESUS, BY FAITH. You must go where He takes you and you must totally and absolutely TRUST HIM. Very few people will follow Jesus. Very few people trust Him! They trust their Bibles, they trust other people, they trust their own insight but they have no relationship with Jesus.

Have you made up your mind to follow Jesus. You will need to trust Him, you will need to fully OBEY HIM. Without faith it is impossible to please God. If you don't trust Him you will not follow Him, but if you look back, REMEMBER THE WIFE OF LOT! She turned into a salt pillar!

Many people have been saved, God led them out of bondage, out of Sodom and Gomorrah but they keep on looking back and they turn into salt pillars! Are you following Jesus or have you turned into a salt pillar?

One Step At a Time

We are all lost without Jesus and when He found us we were without hope, but He became our hope and we thrust ourselves onto Him. We put our trust in Him for salvation and therefor WE HAVE TO FOLLOW HIM, voluntarily. Jesus said:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me, let him deny himself , pick up his cross and follow Me, every day.” We follow Jesus because He is the only way to eternal life and we OBEY Him because we love Him. We go where He takes us and we don't complain. We follow Him because we trust Him and because He has become our life.

If Jesus has not become your life and if you do not follow HIM, then you don't have eternal life! It is not about religion, it is about Jesus and following Him, moment by moment. You trust Him with your life and wherever He takes you, is the way. That is the road that He takes you to eternal life, BUT you need to follow Him. If you withdraw, you don't have life because then YOU have left Jesus. Jesus alone in the way and the truth and the life and He determines our footsteps, so if things go “wrong” or they go the way that we did not want them to go IT IS STILL IN HIS PLAN AND WE SHOULD NOT COMPLAIN! We must TRUST HIM WITH OUR LIFE.

We must pick up our cross every day and follow Him and we must pick up His burden. He said:”Take My yoke on you because My yoke is soft and My burden is light.” What is His yoke, what is His burden? It is this world that is lost. It is people that are going to hell. We must pick up that burden and bring them to Jesus so that they can also, as we do, follow and obey Jesus and have eternal life.

Are you following Jesus, one step at a time, every day of your life? Have you found life in Jesus? Is Jesus REAL to you? Do you seek His approval all the time? Do you love Him and trust Him that much that you follow Him every day of your life?

Submit to His Sovereinty or Perish

You cannot have eternal life if you are not willing to to submit yourself totally to the sovereignty of Jesus Christ and serve Him as Lord. Jesus is the only way. He is the only One who can give you eternal life BUT you must OBEY Him.

If you believe that He is Lord then you must OBEY Him. He said:”If you love me KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, DO WHAT I TELL YOU.” If you do not OBEY Jesus you cannot have salvation. If you do not trust Him and submit yourself to Him you will not follow Him, neither obey Him and you cannot have eternal life. If you accept Jesus as your LORD and you ask Him to save you then you must be willing to totally submit yourself to Him, EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE and you must do so WILLFULLY.

Jesus gives eternal life to those who obey Him, who submit to Him. He is the ONLY ONE who can give you life and if you don't obey Him you will not have life. If you do what please YOU that you are not pleasing HIM and you will not see life, you will not have eternal life. Jesus said:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross and follow Me.” You must totally and utterly submit yourself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ or else you will not have eternal life. You MUST obey His words as written in the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. You MUST turn away from sin and you MUST seek to be pleasing to Jesus ALL THE TIME. You MUST be baptized in water. You MUST ask Him for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and you MUST follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit or else you are following your own mind.

Many people want to have salvation their own way. There is no road map. The Bible cannot save you. Only Jesus saves you, IF you totally SUBMIT to His sovereignty, IF you serve Him as LORD. It is about a relationship with the King, Him as LORD AND MASTER, and YOU as SERVANT OF THE KING. If we are not willing to serve the Master we will NOT have eternal life. Without Jesus there is no life. Jesus HIMSELF is the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE! Our relationship with Him is a spiritual relationship through constant prayer being led by His Holy Spirit. IF we have not received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and we do not have the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, WE DO NOT BELONG TO HIM! If we do not obey Him He is not our Lord and He is not our Master, we are just deceiving ourselves.

Have you submitted yourself TOTALLY to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? Is Jesus REALLY your Lord and Master? Are you REALLY following Him? Because if you are not following Him you will not have eternal life. If you do not utterly obey Him, HE IS NOT YOUR LORD! HE IS NOTHING TO YOU! And then you don't have eternal life. Have you accepted Jesus as LORD?

They will not serve the MASTER

Many claim to be Christians, they say they believe in Jesus but they don't really know who Jesus is. Paul wrote in Colossians 1:15 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For in Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. (HE IS TALKING ABOUT JESUS) 17He is BEFORE ALL THINGS, and IN HIM ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER.18He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything. 19For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. 21And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— 23IF INDEED YOU CONTINUE IN THE FAITH firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard,”

That is JESUS! He is the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! He is the image of God. People disregard Jesus, they will not serve Him as King as Lord, as Master. They will not submit themselves to Him and be part of the body of Christ because they do not realize who He is.

We read in Hebrews 1:8 God says of Him:” but of the Son he says:, THY THRONE, O GOD, IS FOR EVER AND EVER; AND THY RIGHTEOUS SCEPTRE IS THE SCEPTRE OF HIS KINGDOM.

9THOU HAST LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, THY GOD, HATH ANOINTED THEE WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS ABOVE THY COMPANIONS.

10AND, THOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING DIDST LAY THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF THY HANDS:

11THEY WILL PERISH; BUT THOU REMAINEST: THEY WILL BECOME OLD AS A GARMENT;

12AND AS A MANTLE SHALT THOU WILL ROLL THEM UP, AS A GARMENT, AND WILL ALSO BE CHANGED: BUT THOU ART THE SAME, AND THY YEARS WILL NOT COME TO AN END.”

People do not realize who Jesus really is and therefor they disregard Him. He is the Head but yet they disregard Him, they will not serve Him as Lord. They want salvation but they will not submit themselves to Jesus. He sent us the Holy Spirit to guide each and every one of us into that for which He has called us, people are not interested and that is why VERY, VERY FEW OF THOSE WHO CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS ARE ACTUALLY PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST! They do not know the ONE in whom they have believed, to them Jesus is not real. He is not their Lord, they do not honor Him. They do not serve Him, they do not obey Him they WILL NOT FOLLOW HIM. THEY THEMSELVES ARE THEIR OWN GOD! That is why He will say to so many of them:”Go away I never knew you!” because they served themselves, they never served Jesus.

Do you know who Jesus is? Do you know Him as LORD and do you serve Him as LORD? He IS the KING of kings and He IS the LORD of lords. Bow down before Him, seek Him, serve Him, worship Him. People worship people, they want fellowship with other people, they are NOT INTERESTED IN FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS, FELLOWSHIP WITH THE LIVING GOD, because they don't know who He is. Do YOU know who Jesus is? Are you following HIM and are you giving Him the glory and the honor that is due to Him? Are you part of the body of Christ who is submitted to the MASTER and serving HIM, from the heart? Is Jesus your LORD?

Tribulation NOW

For those who follow Jesus, tribulation is NOW. They are in the war zone every day of their lives. The battle is on and the devil is at them every single day. Jesus was in a battle every day until the very end of His life, but He overcame and those who follow Jesus will be in the war zone against satan every day of their lives. If you are not in tribulation and in a battle every day then you are not following Jesus, you are not in the war and you will not overcome. The only way to overcome is to be on the offensive, on the attack. Every day, you have got to wake up fighting, fighting the flesh, fighting yourself and winning ground for the Kingdom of God! If you are making ground and winning ground then you are losing ground. If you are not building you are breaking!

Jesus said:”In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good courage, I have overcome the world!” Why did He say that? Because He gave us the example! His sight was set on the prize and He was only interested in one thing and that was to please the Father. If we want to overcome and win the prize of eternal life, we have to do the same. We must set our faces like flint and run the race with ENDURANCE, not let up one single day because that can cost us eternity. Whoever puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. You have got to run the race EVERY DAY!

If you have let up, if you have back-slidden, now is the time to get back and never look back again. Focus on the prize and run the race with endurance. ENDURE THE TRIBULATION NOW AND WIN THE PRIZE, OVERCOME THE DEVIL, or you will have eternal tribulation in hell! If you are not in tribulation and in the war zone right now, you are not in the run, you don't have a hope of eternal life!

Get into the race and endure until the very end.

Walk your own mission

Jesus calls every disciple to individual service in His kingdom. He says:”Come here, follow Me” and He will guide each and every one of us along the path that He has prepared for us to do the works that He has prepared for us. We cannot delegate our responsibilities or employ somebody else to do what Jesus called me to do, to go and walk with Jesus for me, to go and do what Jesus wants me to do.

I can only be pleasing to Him, IF I WALK DAILY WITH HIM, if I listen to Him, if I follow Him. If you do not walk daily with Jesus you will have no relationship with Him. You cannot become part of a group and say: “This group is following Jesus.” Each and ever disciple is guided on an individual mission by the Holy Spirit.

How is your relationship with Jesus? Are you listening, following, doing every day what He has called you to do? Or, have you become part of a group? Have you delegated your responsibility, said to somebody else:”Brother I will pay you, you go do what Jesus wants you to do and I will be your sponsor? That does not abscond us, we each need to do what the Lord tells US to do or else we cannot be pleasing to Him.

Spectators and Commentators do not Win the Prize!

Churches have turned believers into spectators, commentators, an audience. They just want to sit and see the action. Dear friends, I have a surprise for you, only the runners, those who compete, those who are in the action, only they can expect to win the prize. Jesus did not call spectators and commentators, He called disciples. Are you sitting on the sidelines, commenting and cheering and watching those others who are running the race. YOU WON'T WIN THE PRIZE! THE PRIZE IS ETENAL LIFE and only those who run the race according to the rules have a chance of winning that prize!

Have you enrolled for the race or are you sitting in the pews commenting? Are you a spectator or are you in the race? Do you expect to win the prize?

Are you REALLY following Jesus?

Jesus came to show us what it means to be a child of God. He left us the instructions, the words, the words of the Father, how we should behave, what we should do, how we must live. Those words were written in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Those words will judge us.

Jesus said:”Whoever wishes to follow Me, must deny himself, pick up his cross every day and come here, follow Me.” Jesus will guide us into the Kingdom of God and IF WE WANT ETERNAL LIFE WE MUST FOLLOW JESUS. WE MUST OBEY HIS WORDS. If we don't we will not have eternal life. Going to church, reading your Bible, being religious, going to fellowship, that is not going to save you! All that will save us is our relationship with Jesus, obeying Him, doing His words!

The question we need to ask ourselves is: Am I following Jesus? Am I walking according to His words, every day? Jesus came to do the will of the Father. Am I doing the will of the Father or am I pleasing myself? Am I following Jesus? If we do not follow the example of Jesus and do the will of the Father, there is NO WAY that we will have eternal life.

Jesus promised us the HOLY SPIRIT WHO WILL GUIDE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US INDIVIDUALLY, to tell us the will of the Father. Did you obey Jesus, did you REPENT? Have you been BAPTIZED IN WATER? Have you received the Holy Spirit? Are you LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT so that you can know what the will of God is? Are you following the example and the words of Jesus? If not, you cannot be pleasing to the Father and you cannot do His will, and you will not have eternal life!

Are you REALLY following Jesus?
