Do Not BACK OFF

If you want eternal life you have to GO WITH Jesus, you have to FOLLOW HIM every day and DO what He tells you to do. You must GO where He sends you and you must not allow anything or anybody to stop you.

If you BACK OFF and if you WITHDRAW from following Jesus before the end then you are not worthy of Him. If you deny Him He will certainly also deny you.

Are you following Jesus every day? Are you going after him every day and doing what He tells you to do? Or do you back off at the slightest resistance?

Victory AFTER the Struggle

As followers of Jesus Christ and children of God we are daily in a tremendous struggle against evil forces, against the flesh and against principalities in the air that wage war against us. The only way that we can win this struggle and win the prize of eternal life is if we remain IN and WITH Jesus. Without Jesus we cannot do it.

When we are tempted and tested and tried we need to get our guidance from the Holy Spirit and then stand firmly in OBEDIENCE to what Jesus tells us to do. If we give in then we lose, we lose the battle and we are not worthy of the kingdom of God. We have to stand firmly in the name of Jesus and the devil will flee from us. It is not easy, it is impossible on our own but if we STAND in the name of Jesus and we resist the devil we can overcome.

Many people are not willing to resist the devil, to resist temptation and that is why they fall. When temptation comes they go WITH temptation and they go with the devil, they go with the flesh, they do not stay with Jesus. Do you stay WITH Jesus in your temptations or do you leave Jesus and go after the desires of the flesh and the temptations of the world?

Only those who stand firmly in the name of the Lord and resist the devil, only they will overcome IF they endure until the very end. Stand FIRM in the name of the Lord.

Driving Force

Jesus does not promise us a bed of roses or an easy ride if we follow Him. He said that:”Whoever wishes to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross every day and come here, follow Me.” when you decide to follow Jesus you embark on a steep and rough road but IF you endure until the end you will have the prize of eternal life.

POWER To Overcome

Our struggle is not in the natural. It is against evil forces of darkness that are doing their utmost to cause us to sin and to end up in hell. The reason why most believers cannot overcome and why they fail is because they are trying to overcome and defeat the devil by their own power, by their natural power. The only way that we can overcome satan, can overcome the desires of the flesh and the evil forces that attack us is if we do it by the POWER that Jesus gives to those who submit to Him and follow Him and that is the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. All the knowledge in the world cannot help you to overcome the devil. You need the POWER and the WISDOM of the Holy Spirit of God. Without the Holy Spirit, without Jesus we can do NOTHING.

The only way that we can overcome is if we SUBMIT to Jesus, OBEY Him and get FILLED with the Holy Spirit and then we have the POWER to overcome satan. We have to then STAY WITH JESUS, stay IN HIM, IN OBEDIENCE IN SUBMISSION to Him and then HIS POWER ABIDES, stays in us and we overcome satan because we FOLLOW Jesus and DO as He commands us to do EVERY DAY, STEP BY STEP.

It starts with submitting yourself to Jesus, REPENTING. Repent of SIN, repent of DEPENDING ON YOUR OWN POWER, depending on your own wisdom and then depending on Jesus Christ alone and on His Spirit that He will put in you. You have got to OBEY Jesus, you have got to REPENT, turn away from sin, turn away from trusting in yourself and trust in Him alone, OBEY HIM. Be BAPTIZED IN WATER and PRAY, SEEK the BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT so that you can be FILLED WITH THE POWER OF GOD! Stay WITH Jesus, follow HIM, stay IN HIS POWER , stay IN OBEDIENCE TO HIM and you WILL defeat the devil.

On your own you can do nothing but WITH Jesus we WALK IN VICTORY every day!

GO ALL THE WAY

Many people eagerly start out following Jesus Christ but very few are willing to go all the way and endure until the end. Jesus' disciples were also often tempted to leave Him. We read in John 6 when Jesus said to them:”If you do not eat My body and drink My blood” most of them wanted to leave Him. And Jesus said to the twelve:”Don't you also want to leave Me?” Peter said:”Lord, where will we go to? You have the words of eternal life.”
Even Peter himself swore, He said:”Lord I will go with You all the way, even until death, I will die for You” but he denied Jesus three times. When Jesus was led away to be crucified all His disciples deserted Him. He was all by Himself, all alone, they had all left Him. It was only afterwards, after they had received the Holy Spirit that most of them went on to die for Him.
If we do not go WITH Jesus and follow Him ALL THE WAY until the end, then it is all in vain. Jesus said:”Whoever puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not worthy of Me, is not worthy of the kingdom of God.” Many people are only willing to go with Jesus up to a point, for a short while. When they have to choose between Jesus and friends, popularity and acceptance of men, they choose their friends, they deny Jesus. When they have to choose to obey Jesus they stop following Him. When they have to choose to be baptized in water, they refuse! When they have to choose between friends, their wife, their husband, their children, their job and Jesus then they deny Jesus. They turn away from Him. They go after the things of the world. They rather go for the pleasures of the world than to obey Jesus Christ. They rather go for Bible study and church activities than to LISTEN to Jesus, PRAY, GO where He sends them, DO what He tells them to do. They are not willing to follow Jesus ALL THE WAY.
Many believers are UNFRUITFUL. We can only be fruitful if we remain IN Christ, if we are LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT and if we DO what Jesus himself tells us to do.
Very few are willing to go all the way, to LISTEN and to OBEY until the end. If we are not willing to go WITH Jesus ALL THE WAY until the end then we are not worthy of Him and everything that we have done, everything that we have given up, up to that point, is a waste, its all in vain! If we don't go all the way we will not enter the kingdom of heaven, we will not have eternal life.
Are you willing to go all the way and to endure until the very end, even until death? If you are not willing to endure you won't make it!

Polished to PERFECTION

Jesus Christ is working perfection in every one of THOSE WHO ARE FOLLOWING HIM, who have the hope of eternal life. He wants to present us as a perfect bride before His Father who is in heaven. I want to share with you some reading from the book of Hebrews.
We read in Hebrews 11 about the heroes of faith who endured until the end, and then we read in Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us,” (He is talking about those heroes of faith that have gone before) “let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.4You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin;”
Sin is the problem. If we sin we cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven and therefor Jesus PERFECTS us through discipline and chastisement so that we can share in His holiness.
We read verse 5 “and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
  “MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD,
   NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;
   6FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES,
    AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”
7It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.”
God disciplines all His children. He disciplines us through misfortune, sickness, pain and suffering. Things happen in our lives and we cannot understand why these things are happening. It is the hand of God that is disciplining and correcting us. There is no coincidence in the life of a child of God. Whatever happens in your life is the hand of God on your life. HE IS LEADING US TO HOLINESS, PERFECTION.
We read in verse12 “Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble,13and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.”
What does he mean by that? Do not go and look for trouble. Stay on the straight and narrow road. Do not go to those places where you know that you are weak. DO NOT EXPOSE YOURSELF TO TEMPTATION BUT STAY AWAY FROM TEMPTATION. Keep your eyes on Jesus, stay focused on Him and on the prize of eternal life or else you will not make it into the Kingdom of Heaven.
He says in verse14:”Pursue peace with all men, and the SANCTIFICATION WITHOUT WHICH NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD.” Without sanctification, without holiness no man shall see the Lord. If we sin WE WILL PERISH! And that is why God is working perfection in us, through discipline and reproof because we have to be a PERFECT bride for Jesus Christ.
Verse 5 “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; 16that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. 17For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.”
It was for ONE SIN, ONE DISOBEDIENCE that Adam died. It was only one mishap that Esau made that caused him to lose his birth right. ONE SIN can cost you eternity. Jesus requires of us ABSOLUTE HOLINESS. Adam did not find any room for repentance, he disobeyed God and he perished. The very same God expects of us, PERFECT OBEDIENCE, IF we want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus Christ is preparing a perfect bride to receive a perfect Kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven and therefor we have to be perfect. We must allow Him to have His way in our lives. We have to yield to Him, we have to be UTTERLY HOLY and OBEDIENT to Him.
We read in verse 28:”Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may OFFER TO GOD AN ACCEPTABLE SERVICE WITH REVERENCE AND AWE; 29for OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.”
We must YIELD to Jesus, we must YIELD to the Holy Spirit and live in UTTER HOLINESS, He does not tolerate disobedience because OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE, who is working PERFECTION in every one of those who ENDURES UNTIL TH EVERY END. Only those who ENDURE will in the PRIZE OF ETERNAL LIFE. Only those who DO THE WILL OF GOD will receive the prize.
We read in Hebrews 10:36 “For you have NEED OF ENDURANCE, so that when you HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD, you may receive what was promised.” Only those who ENDURE and DO the will of God will receive what was promised, the PRIZE of ETERNAL LIFE.

The road will be impossible but because Jesus goes ahead of you, you arrive on the other side. You get to know Jesus because without Him you cannot walk that road. Without Jesus you will not find that narrow door that leads to life. There is no road map THERE IS ONLY JESUS.

Why truly born again believers SIN NO MORE

All humans have the ability to do the worst of sins and it is easy to get mad, to curse, to allow your imagination to carry you away into terrible sins, fornication, adultery and murder, if we allow those thoughts to enter us and to fester in us because then in the end it breeds death.

The reason why a born again child of God does not sin is because he has met Jesus Christ and HE HAS SEEN THE GLORY OF THE KING. He believes the words of the King and he wants to stay in that presence of the Lord and he KNOWS that he must keep himself pure and holy and he must obey Jesus Christ to remain in His presence. He has seen the kingdom of God and he wants to press on in because he knows it is only those who endure until the end who keep themselves pure and holy and who are pleasing to Jesus, it is only those who will inherit that wonderful kingdom that they have had a glimpse of. They have seen the glory of the King. They have seen the inheritance of the saints, of those who endure, who obey and who follow Jesus, who keep themselves spotless and clean as a bride for Jesus Christ, those who live in His presence, who hear His voice. They know that if they go back to sin and defile themselves Jesus will not have any relationship with them, He will not speak to them and that is why they keep themselves pure and holy. They live in the presence of the King. They hear His voice, they follow Him. They are not interested in the things of the world because they want to press on in and win that prize of eternal life, that prize reserved for overcomers, for those who prove by their obedience that they truly love Jesus Christ.

Are you a born again FOLLOWER of Jesus Christ who is striving, who is doing your utmost to be pleasing to your Master all the time. Have you seen the glory of the King? Have you met Jesus Christ? Can you see the Kingdom of God? And are you striving with everything that is in you to make it through that very very narrow door that so few will find?

Cold Feet

Many believers seriously started following Jesus, they witnessed for Him, they listened to His voice and they did what He told them to do but then they got cold feet. They stopped following. It is written that THE RIGHTEOUS ONE WILL LIVE BY FAITH but IF HE WITHDRAWS MY SOUL WILL HAVE NO PLEASURE IN HIM (Hebrews 10:38). If we do not complete the race and keep on following Jesus it is all in vain. We mustn't look at other people. Our focus must be on Jesus. He has a specific purpose and a plan with each and every one of us, that is why He called us, BUT we must stay focused on Him until the very end. We must not get cold feet and stop. We must follow Him every day until the very end. Those who endure and those who overcome will win the prize of life. Those who get cold feet, who quit will lose it all. They will end up in damnation with the unbelievers. THERE IS NO PLACE FOR QUITTERS IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. Get back on the job, repent and follow Jesus until the very end. May Jesus bless you.
