Rich people are arrogant and self
sufficient. They think that they control their own lives, they think
that they rule the the world and they think that they can serve God
on their own terms. A rich ruler came to Jesus and said to
Him:”Master, What must I do to have eternal life?” and Jesus said
to him:”Keep the commandments.” He said:”I have done all of
that since my youth.” And Jesus said to him:”If you want to be
PERFECT, sell all you have, give it to the poor and come here, follow
Me.” He walked away very sad. And Jesus said:”It is easier for a
camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter
the kingdom of Heaven.”
Do you want to be PERFECT? Do you want
to be part of the kingdom of God? Then you have to give up all your
riches, your money, your position, your knowledge, your arrogance,
become poor, submit yourself to Jesus and you will inherit the
kingdom of God. Jesus said:”Seek ye first the kingdom of God and
His righteousness and all the other things will be added unto you.”
Do you want to be PERFECT and fit into
the kingdom of Jesus Christ or do you want to be rich arrogant, self
sufficient, in-submissive to Jesus and end up in eternal damnation?
