For most of my life I have been a poor
scholar. At school I did the minimum to take the grades but if we
follow Jesus Christ He turns us into ardent scholars of the Kingdom
of Heaven. If we are not willing to be taught by Him, to be tutored,
coached and guided then we will not graduate, we will not make it
into the kingdom of Heaven.
We must go into the kingdom of heaven
through much tribulation. Jesus teaches us through suffering. He,
even though He was the Son of God, learned through what He suffered
and if we follow Him we will suffer and we will suffer until the very
end because we will be scholars of His kingdom until the very end of
our lives. It is only those who are willing to learn, who are willing
to be guided by the Holy Spirit, those who submit themselves to Jesus
Christ and who are taught and guided by the Holy Spirit, it is only
those who will qualify in the end and make it into the Kingdom of
Heaven. If we refuse to be taught and coached and disciplined by the
Holy Spirit then we will not be suitable to enter the Kingdom of
Heaven, then we will not graduate and have eternal life.
Are you a scholar of the Kingdom of
Heaven? Are you teachable? Do you submit to Jesus and are you guided
by the Holy Spirit? Do you expect to graduate because you have
finished the curriculum and you have met the requirements of the
Examiner? Are you pleasing to Jesus in everything you do? Are you a
scholar of the Kingdom of Heaven?
