Why the Bible CANNOT BE the FINAL AUTHORITY

The holy scriptures that were inspired by the Holy Spirit, some of which were included in the collection of writings that make up the Bible WERE WRITTEN BY FALLIBLE MEN. Those writings were translated from the original languages and INTERPRETED, once again by FALLIBLE MEN, that WERE NOT INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT but by various other motives. If those translations and versions of the scriptures were inspired and guided by the the Holy Spirit there would only be ONE SINGLE VERSION because the Holy Spirit ONLY SPEAKS THE TRUTH.

The power of deception lies in various interpretations and applications of the scriptures and that is why there are so many church denominations, each with their own TWISTED version of the “TRUTH,” their OWN interpretation and application of the Bible.

Jesus did not send us a Book or a collection of scriptures to guide us. The scriptures only TESTIFY OF Jesus. Jesus sent us the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, the HOLY SPIRIT, to GUIDE us INTO ALL TRUTH.

The Holy Spirit IS the FINAL AUTHORITY – not ANY version of the Bible. The Holy Spirit IS the SPIRIT OF CHRIST. The Holy Spirit CANNOT FAIL but the various versions of the scriptures are UTTERLY FALLIBLE because they were PRODUCED by FALLIBLE MEN.

The TRUE FOLLOWERS of Jesus, the SONS OF GOD, do not subscribe to any version of the Bible, neither do they belong to any ORGANIZATION that calls itself a “church, ” they are LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT and they belong to Jesus Christ, their association is with HIM alone. Jesus Christ is their FINAL AUTHORITY, they SUBMIT to Him, they FOLLOW and OBEY HIM in front of whom every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.

Who is YOUR FINAL AUTHORITY? Your Bible or Jesus Christ?

What the SPIRIT SAYS

A born again child of God who has been born again of WATER and of the SPIRIT of God, such a person is LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD and not by anything else. The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:14, he said that:”those who are led by the Spirit of God, THEY are the sons of God.” They are the BODY OF CHRIST, He is their Head and He guides each and every individual member BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT that they have RECEIVED and that they FOLLOW.

They LISTEN TO THE SPIRIT. What is important to them is WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS. Now many believers will say:”What the Bible says.” What is important for a child of God is not what the Bible says but WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS because you can pick and choose from the Bible what YOU please and you can ignore the rest BUT if you ignore the SPIRIT OF GOD you cannot be LED by the Spirit of God. Therefor he says:”Those who ware led by the Spirit of God THEY ARE THE SONS OF GOD.”

You need to be born of the Spirit of God. You need to have that CONNECTION, be ONE IN SPIRIT with the Almighty God and BE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD. You need to get your guidance from Him.

PRAY, LISTEN and He will guide you STEP BY STEP. That is why Jesus said:”Follow ME.” We follow Him by LISTENING TO HIS SPIRIT. “Those who do not have the Spirit of Christ DO NOT BELONG TO HIM.” (Romans 8:9) If you are born again you will have the Spirit of Christ.

If YOU do not have the Spirit of Christ you need to get down on your knees and REPENT of all sin, COMMIT YOURSELF to Jesus, be holy, be righteous, SEEK HIM, CONNECT with Him in your spirit, BE BAPTIZED IN WATER for the washing off of your sin and then He promised you the Holy Spirit to FILL YOU IN with the Holy Spirit so that you can be GUIDED by the Spirit of God. You have to FOLLOW that guidance.

Very few people follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Most people follow the advice of other people, their own OPINION and they do what THEY like but they are not led by the Spirit of God.

Do you LISTEN TO WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS and are you guided by the Spirit of God?

The FUNCTIONING Body

God is SPIRIT and God was manifested IN THE FLESH in Jesus Christ. We read in John 14:8 the apostle Philip said to Jesus:”Lord show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” And Jesus said to him:”I have been so long with you and have you not known Me?” He who has seen Jesus, has seen the Father because Jesus Himself IS GOD.

Those who follow and obey Jesus Christ, they are the Body of Christ. God is not physically present on this earth but by His Spirit HE DWELLS IN THOSE WHO FOLLOW AND OBEY JESUS CHRIST because they ARE the Body of Christ. They are the likeness of Jesus Christ and the likeness of God. God is manifested IN the Body of Christ on this earth. Those who follow Jesus Christ are the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. That is the FUNCTIONING BODY OF GOD on this earth.

Those who are grafted into the True Vine, Jesus Christ, they bear much fruit because they are the FUNCTIONING BODY OF CHRIST. The branch that does not bear fruit will get cut off and burned. Many profess to be followers of Jesus Christ, they say they are of the Body of Christ but they are NOT FUNCTIONING as the Body of Christ, they are NOT the Light of the World, they are NOT bearing fruit and they WILL get CUT OFF AND BURNED. Many believers were never grafted into the Vine. They never became part of the FUNCTIONING BODY OF CHRIST.

If we truly believe and follow and obey Jesus Christ we will be the FUNCTIONING BODY OF CHRIST, the Light of the World that brings LIGHT into this world. Is our light shining? Can the world see Jesus Christ in us? Can the world see that God is alive because of OUR functioning presence?

Spiritually Transformed Sons of God

When we are born we are not children of God, we are children of this earth and we need to become children of God in order to be able to go into the Kingdom of God. We read in John 1:12 “But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.”
Flesh and blood, what we are, will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven but our spirit will enter Heaven if we have become Children of God, but we cannot perceive, understand, or see the Kingdom of God with our natural eyes, we need to be BORN AGAIN to become children of God. We read in John 3:3”Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
We need to be born again, we need to become spiritual people because if we are not born again we are of the flesh , we need to be of the Spirit of God so that we can communicate with God, then we can become children of God.
We read in Romans 8, Paul writes, he says that those who are in the flesh, people that live according to their mind, they cannot please God. Romans 8:8” and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.  9However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” We read in verse 14:“For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
We need to be born again of water and of Spirit. If we accept Jesus as Lord then He gives the new birth but we must repent, we must turn away from our earthly lifestyle and we must acquire a heavenly lifestyle being led by the Spirit of God. If we are not born again and receive the Spirit of God, then we cannot be spiritual people and we cannot be led by the Spirit of God. The only way that we can please God is if we are led by the Spirit. We need to come into a spiritual relationship with God. And therefore we need to be born of water and of Spirit. After you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and your Master, cried to Him and said:"Lord I want You to be my Master." Then He comes into your life but you must OBEY HIM, you must be baptized in water so that you can be born of water, born again of water. He says if you are not born again of water and of Spirit you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If you are baptized in water, He promised to give you the Holy Spirit, because if you don’t have the Spirit of Christ you do not belong to Him. And He gives you His Spirit who will guide you into all truth. We need to have that Spiritual rebirth in order to be a child of God, because then we are spiritually connected with God.
Jesus said to His disciples before He left, He said:"I do not leave you as orphans but I sent you the Comforter, the Holy Spirit who will be with you forever." And that Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost. Just after Jesus ascended to Heaven the Apostles were waiting for the Holy Spirit and it was poured out on the day of Pentecost. They received the Holy Spirit and from there onward they were led by the Holy Spirit. All those who follow Jesus must be led by the Holy Spirit. You cannot be led by your mind. You cannot serve God your way, the way that you think. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. How do you know what God wants you to do if you are not in communication with Him, if you do not hear Him? Jesus said: "My sheep listen to My voice and they follow Me." You need the Holy Spirit to speak to you, to guide you every day. A child of God follows Jesus. Jesus said: "If you wish to follow Me, deny yourself, pick up your cross, come here and follow Me every day." The only way that we can follow Him, is if we are led by the Holy Spirit.
You need the Holy Spirit. You need to be a spiritual person, born again of the Spirit of God so that you are in communication with God and as Paul said, if you do not have the Spirit of Christ you do not belong to Him. Repent, turn away from your earthly lifestyle, accept Jesus as your Master, obey Him, be baptized in water, He will give you the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Seek for it and then he will guide you by His Spirit and you will become a Son of God and then you must be led by the Holy Spirit. The Apostles were led by the Holy Spirit of God. The first believers were led by the Spirit of God because they had the Holy Spirit in them. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believe in Jesus?

Your WORKS determine your SALVATION

The wages of sin is death, therefor every person who has sinned will end up in hell unless he gets rid of that sin. Only Jesus can take away the guilt of our past sin. We have all sinned and we come short of the glory of God but, if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Master, and we repent of sin, in other words, we TURN AWAY FORM SIN. Then Jesus forgives out past sins and He accepts us as children of God, but then , as children of God, we need to live in utter holiness and obedience to Him.

If we go on sinning then we prove that we are not children of God, but indeed, we are children of satan. I read from 1 John 3:1. “See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.”

Here he is talking about those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Master and who have repented of sin, those who have obeyed Him, been baptized in water. They have become children of God and THEY HAVE THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE, they are children of God. But not all of those are children of God because some of them are all in sin.

We read on verse 3: “And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him PURIFIES HIMSELF, just as He is pure.” If you have the hope of eternal life you purify yourself just as Jesus is pure, YOU DO NOT SIN AT ALL, you OBEY Him.

Verse 4:”Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. No one who abides in Him sins; NO ONE WHO SINS HAS SEEN HIM OR KNOWS HIM. Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; THE ONE WHO PRACTICES SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; FOR THE DEVIL HAS SINNED FROM THE BEGINNING. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil. NO ONE WHO IS BORN OF GOD PRACTICES SIN, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. BY THIS THE CHILDREN OF GOD AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL ARE OBVIOUS: ANYONE WHO DOES NOT PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, nor the one who does not love his brother.”

There are many people who say that they are saved, they say they are Christians, they say they are children of God, but from our WORKS, it is obvious whether we are children of God or not, because if we are children of God we do not sin any more. We used to sin before we knew Jesus but once we've met Jesus, we do not sin any more – we do what is pleasing to Him! And that is how you see the difference between a child of God and a son of the devil. Dear friend, our works will determine where we spend eternity! If we are children of God our works will be righteous.

Find your identity

We are each uniquely and wonderfully made. There is nobody like you and there will never be anybody like you again. God made you for a purpose and the only way that you can serve that purpose and fulfill your identity, is if you come into obedience to Jesus Christ, if you come into unity with the One who created you. Most people never come into that identity, they never serve that purpose for which God made them, because they refuse to come to God. They want to do it their own way. They want to do things to please themselves.

Dear friends, we are only as great as the one with whom we identify and that is why people identify with certain groups. But there is only ONE with exceeding greatness, above everything, exalted, and that is Jesus Christ Himself. He is calling us into a relationship with Him. Dear friend, if you submit yourself to Jesus and you obey Him, He will give you identity, the identity of A SON OF GOD. There is nothing greater than being a son of God because He has called you for a unique purpose, but you need to you FIRST BOW DOWN TO JESUS. You need to forsake yourself, your own plans, your own wisdom and submit to God Almighty. He loves us, He cares for us, but He will never force us. He invites us to become SONS OF GOD and to find our identity, a unique identity, not like anyone else before us, but A SPECIAL IDENTITY FOR WHICH GOD MADE YOU. He created you for that identity so that YOU CAN BE A SOMEBODY and not just happening and then disappear!

Dear friend, the only way to realize that identity is in Christ Jesus, when you come and bow down before Him and you accept Him as your Lord and your Master, and you don't live for yourself any more, but you START LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD, because then HE MAKES YOU A SON OF GOD! But you need to submit your will to Him. You need to get to know Jesus Christ for real and you need to serve Him as Lord and Master and then He will MAKE YOU SOMETHING. He will make you a SON OF GOD but you first have to become a servant of the Kingdom of God.

Are you ready to submit yourself to Jesus so that you can find you identity? Jesus said:”Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things, will be added unto you.” Dear friend, there is nothing that compares with being a child of God, a SON OF GOD.

A Special People

Last night I woke up with these words in my mind: Spirit led people are a special people. Those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, they are the sons of the Kingdom of God, because they know their Master's voice and they follow Him. Jesus said: “My sheep LISTEN to My voice and they follow Me.” They trust Him. Jesus Christ is their King and their Lord, their Master and they follow Him.

They are a SPECIAL PEOPLE, they are called out from the world and they are following the King because He is real to them. They are the real sons of God, a called out people, a priesthood, servants of the living God. Are you part of that Special People who hear the voice of the Master, who listen to Him and who follow Him? Are you part of the Kingdom of God? Do you listen to the King, Jesus? And do you serve Him? Dear friend, Jesus wants you to be part of His Kingdom, but if you don't want to listen to Him, to hear His voice and if you don't trust Him, you cannot be part of His Kingdom and you cannot have eternal life.

The choice is yours, my friend. If you go on your knees and cry out to Jesus, and seek Him with all your heart, and seek to be PLEASING TO HIM then He will reveal Himself to you and He will make you a child of God. But you have to have the desire, you have got to seek Him and love Him above everything. Are you part of that Special People?
