What Matters is How you Finish

Many people hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and then they say a sinners prayer, they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord, Master and Savior. They promise to follow Him and obey Him in that prayer but very soon they turn away from Him, they don't keep their promise, they leave Him.

Many people fall in love with somebody and they get married, they make marriage vows but very soon their love grows cold, They find somebody else and they leave the one to whom they vowed to be faithful for life.

It is only those who remain faithful to Jesus until the very end that will have eternal life, it is only those who keep their vows. Many turn away from Jesus. Some want to go back. What is important is not how you start the race but how you finish it. You might have known Jesus, you might have followed Jesus and then backslidden into the world. What matters is HOW YOU END. GET BACK TO JESUS. Love Him, obey Him, follow Him and KEEP YOUR VOW, stay with Him until the end and He will give you LIFE. It is only those who endure until the end that will have eternal life.

What really matters is not how you start but how you finish. Are you running the race with endurance in such a way that you will win the prize? How do you intend to finish?

Backsliders will SUFFER

Those who once accepted Jesus and experienced His deliverance, His love, His joy and His peace and then despised His love and turned their back on Him, who backslid and like the dog went back to their own vomit THEY WILL SUFFER. Jesus accepts all those who come to Him and He is faithful but if they are unfaithful they will suffer. Jesus warned. I read from Matthew 12:43 “Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. “Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. “Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation.”  Many who once knew Jesus turned their back on Him and went back into the world after the pleasures of sin and they are now demon possessed and they cannot get loose, they cannot get back to Jesus. It will not be an easy way back. Jesus will not just take you back like the first time because you despised His love. He loves you but He will allow those demons to torment you to chastise you, because YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON HIM. If you do not show that you are serious then Jesus will not deliver you as easily again. This time around, you will battle. Those demons will torment you, YOU WILL GO THROUGH HELL because you despised the love of Jesus. Is it because He doesn't love you? No. It is because you despised Him. He wants to teach you a lesson but if you do not do your utmost best and humble yourself before Jesus, YOU WILL PERISH. This world thinks that they can just go back and say:”Lord, I am sorry, Lord I am sorry.” You are not sorry and Jesus is not a fool! He is not listening to your prayer. He has delivered you to your desires, and now you will suffer. HE DOES NOT ANSWER THE PRAYERS OF THOSE WHO ARE NOT SERIOUS. If you are not serious and you do not SHOW BY YOUR DEEDS that you are serious, if you do not resist sin to the point of rather dying YOU WILL PERISH in your sin because you have despised the love of Jesus. He loves you but you need to show that you are serious with Him by turning your back on sin, by rejecting the devil, by fighting him off. You need to show Jesus that you are really serious or else you will perish in your sin. The road back will be extremely hard. It is up to you whether you want to perish or want eternal life but this time around you will work very, very hard to get through to Jesus. Start working, my friend, He is waiting for you, but it will not be easy! Seek Him and you will find Him. May Jesus bless you.

Why Believers Stumble

There are many reasons why believers stumble. One of the biggest reasons is because they are not following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they have become TOP HEAVY. They have a lot of knowledge in their heads but they don't have Jesus in their hearts and they do not trust Jesus, they do not trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is written:”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”Proverbs 3:5. You need to ask wisdom from God and follow the guidance that He GIVES you, that He PUTS INSIDE of you, without checking that against your logic, against your head or against your discernment, which is just another way of saying that you are leaning on your own understanding.

The righteous will live by faith, by TRUSTING JESUS WITH THEIR WHOLE HEART, He puts the guidance of His Spirit IN YOUR HEART, IN YOUR MIND. You pray and He gives you the answer, He PUTS IT IN YOU but if you refuse to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in you, if you start doubting and you don't trust in Him with all your heart, YOU STUMBLE and you fall, and you cannot do the will of God because you don't believe.

If you don't BELIEVE Jesus, if you don't TRUST Him above everything you will not follow Him. He cannot make your foot stumble BUT YOU NEED TO TRUST HIM. If you don't trust Him you will not follow Him. You need to TRUST JESUS WITH ALL YOUR HEART and He will make sure that you do not stumble. He will guide your footsteps BUT YOU NEED TO TRUST HIM. Do you truly trust Jesus?

Jesus has not quit on you

There was a very long period in my life that I was far away from God even though I knew Him well, to start with. But I want to tell you one thing and that is that, Jesus never gave up on me. I look back and I realize that even in my darkest moments, where I was in sin, as drunk as a skunk, denying my Lord, doing things that I knew were wrong. He never left me, He was always there. He came after me, He cared for me. I should have been killed many times, many times, but He kept me alive because He is good and He cared for me. And then He turned my life upside down, because He cared for me.

It took many years for me to realize that the rainbow that I was chasing was foolishness, and then eventually when I crawled back to Jesus, (because I crawled back), and I said:”Lord, if You will take me back, then I WANT to come back, but I don't deserve anything.” He accepted me and He drew me in!

Dear friend, it doesn't matter how far you have fallen, Jesus cares for you and HE HASN'T GIVEN UP ON YOU AND HE WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU, until the very end. But we don't know when the end will be and if we are away from the Father's house when we die, then it will all be in vain. The door is standing wide open and He is calling you and me into His house. He loves us. He is not judging you, He is not rejecting you. He is waiting for you, eagerly, for you to come home. It is up to you, friend, to come home. Jesus is waiting for you. Don't wait any longer. Don't look back, don't think of what things used to be like, come back to the Father's house. He is waiting for you. Don't wait too long.

When the prodigal son came home his father said:”My son who was dead, has come back to life!” He wants you to come back to life, my friend. He is waiting for you. Don't let anything stop you. JESUS HAS NEVER GIVEN UP ON YOU, NEVER, but don't waste it any longer. Go to Him right now, say:”Lord, please take me back!” and He will gladly accept you back.

If you have backslidden, if you have gone away from Jesus, He is waiting for you. I am so glad that He never quit on me and that is why I can tell you, HE HASN'T QUIT ON YOU, MY FRIEND!

Call out to Jesus, He is waiting for you!

Do not look back

Many people accept Jesus and then they look back and they perish. If you look back, you will perish. You will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The children of Israel looked back to Egypt and even though they were saved from bondage they perished in the wilderness and they did not enter the Promised Land because they looked back. The wife of Lot was saved from Sodom and Gomorra, she was out of the calamity, she was out of the city but she looked back and she turned into a salt pillar, she perished. If you put your hand to the plow and you look back you are not fit for the Kingdom of God.
If you want to follow Jesus, you must turn away from sin and the things of the world, you must stop sinning, you must not love the world, you must follow and obey Jesus and if you look back you will perish. If you look back, you will not make it friend, you will perish. Do not look back. Focus on Jesus, obey Him every day, pray, seek him with all your heart. Very few will make it into the kingdom of Heaven, very few. Only those who endure until the very end.  If you look back, you will perish.

Why believers back slide

There are many reasons why people backslide. But the one big reason is that Jesus is not real to them. Their faith is maybe based on the Bible, on their church, what other people say and do, their preachers, but they don’t really know Jesus for real. Dear friend, God knows everything, He knows every thought, He knows the intention of our hearts. The sooner we get alone with Jesus and realize it is one on one, there is nothing that is ever hidden from Him. The sooner we realize that, the sooner we get real. God does not excuse any sin. God knows the intention of our heart and that is why Jesus said: That if you look at a woman lustfully, you have already committed adultery in your heart, He knows. He knows what you are thinking. You cannot fool God with nice words, it is not a game, it is reality, it is reality. You can die any time my friend and if you are not ready you will go into hell. We will be judged by the Words of Jesus. He did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. But the WORDS that HE SPOKE, that will judge us and those Words do not change. They are written and the Holy Spirit will remind us of those Words. If we step out of line, the Holy Spirit reminds us of the Words of Jesus. If we listen and repent, mend our ways, then we are corrected. But if we ignore Him, we will end up in hell friend. The Holy Spirit of God was given to guide us into all truth, to remind us of the Words of Jesus, which are the standard. There is only one way and that is perfect obedience. You can know what your situation is with the Lord Jesus. You can know whether He approves of you. Just get alone with Him and ask Him. Say Lord show me whether You are satisfied with me Lord Jesus, show me if there is anything that is wrong in my life and I need to fix up and He will show you. But you must obey. If you are not serious, He will know it also. You cannot play around friend, you cannot fool with God. You cannot take liberties with Jesus, He knows your heart. He loves you, but He will make no exception, not for one single man, why? Because it is written and He is a fair God. It was for one sin that Adam died, one sin. God has not changed friend. Jesus forgives our past sins but then we’ve got to live in utter obedience and holiness, without holiness no man will see God. If you realize this and you keep reminding yourself, you will not sin. You will be praying all day and seeking to please Jesus. You will be listening to His Holy Spirit, that speaks in your heart, convicts you and you will obey. Because if you do not obey dear friend, there is no way that you will have eternal life. Only obedient children will go into the Kingdom of Heaven. We must take Jesus seriously, or else, there is no way that we will go into Heaven. May Jesus bless you.

Backsliders and Fornicators

A child of God does not sin. He is a holy person and he lives in the household of God, continuously in the presence of God. Sin separates us from God. The moment we sin we move outside of God’s presence.

Many Christians who were once born again are spiritually dead because they have turned away from God and are living in sin. They are prodigal children. They are out of the Father’s house, in the pig sty.

The prodigal son was dead. When he came back his Father washed and clothed him, gave him a ring on his finger and said: “For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.” Luke 15:24.

Other Christians are fornicating like Esau who sold his birthright for a single meal. They have fallen from the grace of God. “Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” Hebrews 12:16,17. ONE SIN CAN TAKE YOU TO HELL.

Christians who sin are either backslidden or fornicating. Nobody who lives in the household of God sins because God does not tolerate sin.

Now is the day of salvation, now is the time to repent of sin and go back to the Father’s house. Repentance means to totally turn away from sin and become totally obedient to Christ and be righteous as He is righteous.

No unholy person or sinner will go into the kingdom of heaven. With God there is only one way: utter holiness, sanctification without which nobody shall see God.
