You MUST follow Jesus

Jesus Christ offers eternal life in the kingdom of heaven to all those who FOLLOW Him and who OBEY Him. There is a CONDITION to ETERNAL LIFE and that is that you FOLLOW and OBEY Jesus Christ.

Jesus said that:”whoever WISHES to come after Me MUST deny himself every day, pick up his cross and come here FOLLOW Me.” If you do not follow Jesus and you do not obey His words you WILL PERISH. His words as also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, those are the WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE for those who OBEY them.

Those who reject and defy Jesus Christ WILL PERISH. Are you following and obeying Him? Are you DOING what He commanded us to do? Are you following Him every day, LISTENING to his Holy Spirit and GOING what He tells you to do?

If you live your life to please yourself and other people YOU WILL CERTAINLY PERISH. REPENT, turn away from sin and serving your own selfish lusts and OBEY Jesus Christ, GO AFTER HIM. Seek Him, follow Him until the very end or you will certainly perish.

Why you MUST be BAPTIZED after REPENTING

God JUSTIFIES those who OBEY Him. He takes away the guilt of their sin and He brings them into His presence, into His kingdom. Jesus Christ came to give us the example and the Words of God, the Words of Eternal life.

Jesus Himself was baptized in water. When He came to John the Baptist to be baptized John, who knew who He was, at first did not want to baptize Him. (Matthew 3:14,15) He said:”Lord, I have need to be baptized by You and now You come to me to be baptized.” But Jesus insisted and said:”Allow it TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

To be baptized in water AFTER REPENTANCE is an INSTRUCTION from God, a COMMAND. If we do not OBEY the words of Jesus, which are the WORDS OF GOD, and are baptized in water for the washing off of our sin AFTER REPENTANCE then we will not have eternal life, we will not be justified. We have to FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS to be JUSTIFIED by God.

Have you obeyed the words of God? Have you REPENTED and been BAPTIZED IN WATER? Or are you REBELLING against God? Are you in DISOBEDIENCE because then you will perish. Obey Jesus and LIVE! If you do not OBEY His words YOU WILL PERISH.

Be BAPTIZED for FORGIVENESS of your SIN

God will forgive your past sins and cleanse you of unrighteousness IF you REPENT, STOP SINNING. PLEAD JESUS FORGIVENESS and then BE BAPTIZED for the WASHING OFF OF YOUR SIN. After that you are clean but then you must SIN NO MORE. You must not go back to sin. You must follow Jesus Christ and OBEY God in the newness of Spirit and STAY CLEAN. No sinners will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Have you COME CLEAN? Have you had your past sins forgiven? Have you had your sins WASHED OFF? Are you CLEAN? Are you now following Jesus Christ in a NEW, HOLY, RIGHTEOUS LIFESTYLE?

Without holiness no man shall see God. No sinners will enter the kingdom of heaven.

Polished to PERFECTION

Jesus Christ is working perfection in every one of THOSE WHO ARE FOLLOWING HIM, who have the hope of eternal life. He wants to present us as a perfect bride before His Father who is in heaven. I want to share with you some reading from the book of Hebrews.
We read in Hebrews 11 about the heroes of faith who endured until the end, and then we read in Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us,” (He is talking about those heroes of faith that have gone before) “let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.4You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin;”
Sin is the problem. If we sin we cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven and therefor Jesus PERFECTS us through discipline and chastisement so that we can share in His holiness.
We read verse 5 “and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
  “MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD,
   NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;
   6FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES,
    AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”
7It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.”
God disciplines all His children. He disciplines us through misfortune, sickness, pain and suffering. Things happen in our lives and we cannot understand why these things are happening. It is the hand of God that is disciplining and correcting us. There is no coincidence in the life of a child of God. Whatever happens in your life is the hand of God on your life. HE IS LEADING US TO HOLINESS, PERFECTION.
We read in verse12 “Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble,13and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.”
What does he mean by that? Do not go and look for trouble. Stay on the straight and narrow road. Do not go to those places where you know that you are weak. DO NOT EXPOSE YOURSELF TO TEMPTATION BUT STAY AWAY FROM TEMPTATION. Keep your eyes on Jesus, stay focused on Him and on the prize of eternal life or else you will not make it into the Kingdom of Heaven.
He says in verse14:”Pursue peace with all men, and the SANCTIFICATION WITHOUT WHICH NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD.” Without sanctification, without holiness no man shall see the Lord. If we sin WE WILL PERISH! And that is why God is working perfection in us, through discipline and reproof because we have to be a PERFECT bride for Jesus Christ.
Verse 5 “See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; 16that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. 17For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.”
It was for ONE SIN, ONE DISOBEDIENCE that Adam died. It was only one mishap that Esau made that caused him to lose his birth right. ONE SIN can cost you eternity. Jesus requires of us ABSOLUTE HOLINESS. Adam did not find any room for repentance, he disobeyed God and he perished. The very same God expects of us, PERFECT OBEDIENCE, IF we want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus Christ is preparing a perfect bride to receive a perfect Kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven and therefor we have to be perfect. We must allow Him to have His way in our lives. We have to yield to Him, we have to be UTTERLY HOLY and OBEDIENT to Him.
We read in verse 28:”Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may OFFER TO GOD AN ACCEPTABLE SERVICE WITH REVERENCE AND AWE; 29for OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.”
We must YIELD to Jesus, we must YIELD to the Holy Spirit and live in UTTER HOLINESS, He does not tolerate disobedience because OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE, who is working PERFECTION in every one of those who ENDURES UNTIL TH EVERY END. Only those who ENDURE will in the PRIZE OF ETERNAL LIFE. Only those who DO THE WILL OF GOD will receive the prize.
We read in Hebrews 10:36 “For you have NEED OF ENDURANCE, so that when you HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD, you may receive what was promised.” Only those who ENDURE and DO the will of God will receive what was promised, the PRIZE of ETERNAL LIFE.

The Sacrifices of God

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.” Those are the words of king David in Psalm 51:17. The only sacrifice that we can bring to God is our own brokenness because if we are spirited and strong in ourselves we will not listen to Him, we will not obey Him.

Jesus said:”Blessed are they who are poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” Matthew 5:3. It is only when we are poor in spirit, poor in OUR OWN SPIRIT, poor in our own ideas and opinion, our own resources, it is only then that we are willing to OBEY the King, to LISTEN to Him, to FOLLOW Him and to be useful, fruitful in His kingdom. People who are wise in their own estimation, who lean on their own understanding and their own Bible knowledge WILL NOT LISTEN to the Holy Spirit. We need to empty ourselves of our SELF, of our own resources, of our own plans and our own opinions and totally submit to the Holy Spirit, TRUST Him, LISTEN and OBEY or else we will not follow Jesus, we will not do what is pleasing to Him.

As long as we lean on our own understanding and we are adamant about our own opinion we are in direct opposition, in rebellion against Jesus Christ because then we elevate ourselves and we think that we are God, we think that we are more clever and more wise than Him and we will not follow in His plan. God is not interested in our opinions or in our plans.

Jesus Christ is LORD and if we follow Him, we serve HIM as LORD. Wisdom that comes from the mind of man is satanic and in rebellion against God. Unless we deny ourselves, deny our own opinions and our own ways we cannot follow Jesus and we cannot be pleasing to Him, we cannot be part of the kingdom of God because we will not submit ourselves to Jesus. What He requires of us is utter and total submission to Him, We cannot please Jesus unless we submit to Jesus and totally obey Him.

Relationship is HARD WORK

A successful relationship requires extremely hard work and that is why most relationships fail. That is why most marriages fail, it is because the partners are not willing to work hard at that relationship.

That is also the reason why most believers will not have eternal life. They are not willing to work on their relationship with Jesus. They are not willing to go after Him. They are not willing to deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow Jesus Christ every day. Therefor they will not have eternal life.

Are you willing to put EVERYTHING into your relationship with Jesus? Are you willing to sacrifice yourself , your own will, your own pleasures, your own desires, in order to be pleasing to Jesus? If you are not willing to put everything into your relationship with Jesus Christ, you will not have eternal life.

Jesus gave everything for us and He requires of us that we put EVERYTHING into our relationship with Him. If we cannot OBEY Jesus and be pleasing to Him, we will not have eternal life.

Hand it over

Before you can follow Jesus Christ you have to make up your mind about one thing and that is about TOTALLY SUBMITTING TO JESUS, handing over all your rights and then to follow Him and do His will.

Eternal life is about KNOWING Jesus Christ and SERVING Him as LORD, doing His will, not your own. You cannot follow Jesus Christ and be pleasing to Him unless you have submitted yourself totally to Him. You cannot pray the Lords Prayer unless you have totally submitted to Him. You cannot pray:”Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done...” and if you cannot pray for God's will to be done then you cannot be a child of God, you cannot be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Jesus said:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny Himself, pick up his cross daily and come here, follow Me.”

If you are not willing to submit yourself totally to Jesus and to GIVE UP ALL YOUR RIGHTS TO YOUSELF and TO OBEY HIM until the very end, then you cannot follow Jesus, you cannot be a child of God, you cannot have eternal life. Jesus gave His life for us. Unless we are willing to submit our lives totally to Him, we cannot have eternal life.

Have you submitted to Jesus? Have you made that decision? Are you willing to TOTALLY and UTTERLY OBEY His words, do what is pleasing to Him? Are you willing to live in utter obedience to the words of Jesus as they are also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? Are you willing to be led by the Holy Spirit, to DO what He tells you to do, to GO where He sends you? Are you willing to follow Jesus?

If you want eternal life you need to let go of it all! Hand it in! Hand it over! Give it to Jesus and follow Him and He will give you LIFE.

Is God your Father?

Those who believe in Jesus Christ have the power to become children of God. A child of God LISTENS to his Father, he OBEYS Him and he always does what is pleasing to his Father. Have you become a child of God? Do you obey your Father? Do you HEAR His voice? Do you do what is pleasing to God all the time? We cannot please our Father if we do not hear His voice. The apostle Paul said that those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). Are you led by the Spirit of God? Have you received the Spirit of God? There is only one way that you can receive the Spirit of God, because God is Spirit, and that is that you must get rid of sin. Only Jesus can take away your sin. You need to REPENT, STOP SINNING, and only Jesus can forgive your sins, if you plead Him forgiveness and OBEY Him, SIN NO MORE; if you are BAPTIZED IN WATER for the washing off of your sin so that you can be CLEAN. Only then can you come into the presence of God, the Father, and then Jesus will baptize you in the Holy Spirit. You will receive of the Spirit of God so that you can hear the voice of God. He will give you another tongue by which you can speak mysteries to God. He will open your ears so that you can hear His voice, but then you have to LISTEN to His voice, FOLLOW Him and OBEY Him. Have you received the Holy Spirit? Do you hear His voice and do you OBEY Him all the time? God does not tolerate disobedience. If we disobey Him, we are not fit for His kingdom. If we disobey Him, we are not fit to be children of God. Are you a child of God? Do you HEAR His voice and do you OBEY Him? May Jesus bless you.
