WHY MOST BELIEVERS ARE NOT BORN AGAIN

When man meets up with God he immediately becomes aware of his own sinfulness, his impurity, his inadequacy and he cries out for mercy. As we read in Revelations 20:11 “I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, FROM WHOSE PRESENCE EARTH AND HEAVEN FLED AWAY, AND NO PLACE WAS FOUND FOR THEM.”

When you meet up with Jesus you immediately know that you are unworthy and that you need to be cleansed, you cannot be in his presence, you cry out for mercy and when Jesus comes into your life He forgives you and He makes you a new man. IMMEDIATELY YOU HATE SIN, you don't want to have anything to do with sin! You want to be pure and you want to be holy because you want to be pleasing to Jesus. That is what it means to be spiritually reborn, when you meet up with Jesus.

A person who is born again HATES SIN, HE CANNOT STAND SIN, He just wants to be pure and holy. Many believers have never met Jesus. They have never come to that place where they revolted in themselves and just said:”Lord. Just give me mercy please. Clean me! Lord accept me! Lord have mercy on me!” Many people have never repented, they have never met Jesus. If you have truly met Jesus then you have no business with sin. You have no business with the things of this world,. You just want to be pleasing to the King! He gives you a new heart. He gives you new eyes! He gives you new desires. Many have not experienced that yet, THYE ARE STILL SINNERS! THEY ARE NOT BORN AGAIN!

Some have experienced Jesus but they have gone back to sin, they have gone back to the things of the world as Peter wrote in 2 Peter 2:22 ”It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”

Have you met Jesus? Have you been born again? Did He cleanse you, did He make you new inside so that you only have a desire for the kingdom of God? Jesus said, unless a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. If you have seen the Kingdom of God then nothing else matters. You don't want to sin, you are not interested in the things of the world. You only want to please Jesus and be with Him for ever! You WANT to be a child of God, you WANT TO be pure and holy but MOST BELIEVERS HAVE NEVER MET GOD! They never had that experience. They are sinners and THEY ARE LOST! THEY ARE NOT BORN AGAIN!

Dear friend, you need to be born again of water and of Spirit so that you can be changed to become a child of God, so that Jesus can be seen in you and if Jesus is in you then other PEOPLE WILL FEEL THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN YOU. They will not sin in your presence. They will not curse in your presence because they will know that God is in you. Is God in you, or are you in the world? Have you truly been born again? Have you become a child of God or were you never born again? Seek Jesus and ask Him for the new birth, to change you, to make you a child of God so that you have the nature of Christ and that the world can see Jesus in you.

Church is not the House of God

Church is not the house of God. God does not dwell in buildings built of mortar steel and clay. He has prepared for Himself a body. God is Spirit and He dwells in us if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Master. Then we become a temple of the Holy Spirit and if His Spirit dwells in us then that same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will also raise up our mortal bodies. He promises us eternal life IF that Spirit dwells in us.

Have you invited Jesus into your life? Does the Spirit of God dwell in you? Do you have life in you? Are you reserved for the Spirit of God? Do you obey Him, daily? Are you living in relationship with God the Father through His Spirit dwelling in you? Have you become a child of God and ARE YOU THE HOUSE OF GOD?

Lovers of Pleasure - Haters of God

Most believers have no desire for godliness. They don't love Jesus, they just want salvation, but they want to go after the lusts of the flesh and please themselves. They are lovers of pleasure, not lovers of God. If we do not love Jesus, we nave no place in the Kingdom of God, then we will not have eternal life.

Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1 “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4treacherous, reckless, conceited, LOVERS OF PLEASURE RATHER THAN LOVERS OF GOD; 5holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and AVOID SUCH MEN AS THESE.”

Most believers who call themselves Christians are like that. If you fellowship with “Christians” who are like that, then Paul says AVOID SUCH MEN AS THESE, because they are not followers of Jesus. That is why people cannot stop sinning, they don't want to, they want to be part of the world. They are not interested in the Kingdom of God!

Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Are you one of these “Christians”? Or do you truly love and follow Jesus?

Are you a child of God?

A child of God is led by the Spirit of God. That is what distinguishes the natural man from a child of God. You need to become a spiritual man, which means that you have to be born again of water and of the Spirit or else you cannot see the Kingdom of God, neither can you be in relationship with God. You cannot have communication with God if you are not spiritually connected.

Being a child of God is not an intellectual exercise. Reading the Bible, believing doctrines, going to church, that does not make you a child of God. You need to be spiritually reborn, connected to God by His Holy Spirit and you must FOLLOW the Holy Spirit, be led by the Spirit of God. Romans 8:14 says ”all those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Are you led by the Spirit of God?

Serving the Father

Faith in Jesus empowers us to become a child of God and a joint heir with Jesus of the Kingdom of Heaven. Becoming a child of God means becoming obedient to the Father as Jesus showed us and directed us to do. We must follow His example.

Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us into the will of the Father.

We first have to repent from serving ourselves and satisfying our own desires before we will ever follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and do the will of the Father. Only those who OBEY the will of the Father will become heirs of His kingdom.

Many do not understand it, others are not willing to submit to the Holy Spirit. They will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God.

Most believers are busy with a man made religion based on own interpretation and application of the scriptures. That will all be in vain, it does not please the Father.

Have you met Jesus for real and are you following His words as also written in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?

Have you received the Holy Spirit and are you daily submitting, following His guidance to do the will of the Father?

Or are you serving yourself, following a comfortable religious path that you have chosen?

We can only please the Father and have eternal life IF we OBEY Him and SUBMIT TO the Holy Spirit.

Behind the Smoke Screen

Most people are living a lie. From the time that they wake up in the morning they put on a smoke screen behind which they live all day. They are living in a world of make believe. They pretend things that they are not, they lie without thinking. Many believers treat their relationship with God in exactly the same way. They think they can fool God. God sees right through us and liars will not come into the presence of God neither will they go into the kingdom of Heaven. If we want to enter the kingdom of Heaven then we must become honest, firstly with Jesus, with God our Father and with all other people.

Are you living the truth or are you living behind a smoke screen? God knows! No liars will go into the Kingdom of Heaven.

A Child of God is Not a Sinner - He has a New Nature

You can teach a sinner the right way but he will not do it because he is a sinner. His nature is a nature of sin. If you accept Jesus as your Lord, your Master, then He gives you a new nature. You are born again! YOU ARE NOT A SINNER ANY MORE, you don't want to sin, you hate sin, you love righteousness because He has transformed you, He has made you new inside. If you still have a desire for sin then you are not born again, then you haven't met Jesus. You cannot be a child of God and still have a desire for sin.

We read in Hebrews 8:10-12 “FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM UPON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.11“AND THEY SHALL NOT TEACH EVERYONE HIS FELLOW CITIZEN, AND EVERYONE HIS BROTHER, SAYING, ‘KNOW THE LORD,’ FOR ALL SHALL KNOW ME, FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST OF THEM.12“FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.”

That is what happens when you meet Jesus, He writes His laws in your heart and you KNOW Him and nobody needs to teach you, you know what He wants because He has written it in your heart and you just have to OBEY. You must be an obedient child of God. If you have not been transformed inside so that you WANT to do the will of God, you want to be pleasing to Jesus, then you are NOT A CHILD OF GOD, THEN YOU DON'T KNOW HIM and then you need to go on your knees and ask him to make you a child of God, give you a new heart, so that you hate sin and that you seek the will of God. What matters is that transformation inside of you that makes you a child of God.

You are not what you used to be. You do not fit into this world, you don't love the things of the world. You only want to be pleasing to your heavenly Father. Have you been transformed? Has Jesus come into your heart and given you a new heart or ARE YOU STILL A SINNER?
