Many people believe that they are saved
and they think that they can serve Jesus in their own way. They
interpret the Bible their way, they go to church, they debate with
other people but they have no relationship with Jesus Christ. Not
many people will be saved, only those who follow Jesus and OBEY Him,
who serve Him HIS WAY, those who reply WHRN HE CALLS, those who
listen to His voice and follow Him, who DO what He tells them to do.
On occasion they asked Jesus whether those who are being saved are
few. I read from Luke 13:23.
“Then said one unto Him, Lord, are
there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24Strive to
enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to
enter in, and shall not be able. 25When once the master of the
house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand
without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us;
and He shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye
are: 26Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in
Thy presence, and Thou hast taught in our streets. 27But He
shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me,
all ye workers of iniquity.”
Many people think that because they go
to church and they fellowship with other believers that they are
children of God. It is only when you OBEY Jesus, when you WAIT ON
HIM, when you SERVE HIM that you have a relationship with Him. Many
of those who go to church, who believed that they are saved will
stand before Jesus and He will say to them:”Go away I never knew
you.” You cannot serve God your way. You cannot respond to Him when
you wish. When Jesus calls you must go. YOU GO WHERE HE SENDS YOU AND
YOU DO WHAT HE TELLS YOU TO DO, WHEN HE TELLS YOU TO DO IT, or else
He will say to you ”Go away I never knew you.”
Once the door is closed many people
will knock on that door and say:”Lord, Lord!” And He will say to
them: “I don't know you! Go away! I don't know where you are from.”
Most believers do not know Jesus, most believers WILL NOT FOLLOW HIM.
Most believers do not serve Jesus, they serve themselves. What will
Jesus say to YOU and to ME when we stand before Him? Did we respond
when He called us? Did we go where He sent us and did we do what He
told us to do?
Those with ears will hear!
May Jesus bless you.
