Heirs of the Kingdom

God has prepared a Kingdom for those whom He has called to be children of God. It is not everybody who will become part of that Kingdom. It is only those obedient children who have submitted themselves to the discipline of the Holy Spirit and who were transformed into the image of Christ.
It is important that we realize that the only way that we can become heirs and joint heirs of that Kingdom is if we obey the Holy Spirit, if we submit ourselves to the discipline of the Holy Spirit, so that we can become transformed, to be CHILDREN OF GOD. If we do not submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit and to the discipline of God we will not become heirs of that Kingdom.
Paul writes about it in Romans 8:12 “12So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— 13for IF YOU ARE LIVING ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, YOU MUST DIE; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, IF indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.”
There is a condition that WE MUST SUBMIT OURSELVES TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. We must understand that. We read in Hebrews 12:7 “7It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9Therefore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, BUT HE DISCIPLINES US FOR OUR GOOD, SO THAT WE MAY SHARE HIS HOLINESS. 11All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.”
WE MUST ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE TRAINED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, we must submit ourselves to the discipline of God. People don't want to stop sinning, they don't want to be led by the Holy Spirit. They want to be free spirits and do what they want to do. If we do that we will not become heirs of the Kingdom of God.
Firstly we must REPENT OF SERVING OURSELVES and then we must follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit day by day. We ourselves must PUSH INTO the Kingdom of God. We need to SEEK THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, WE NEED TO SEEK JESUS EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES. We need to willfully submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit, to the discipline of the Holy Spirit, not whine and complain but stay focused on Jesus IF indeed we want to become heirs of that Kingdom that God has promised to those who submit themselves, who become obedient children of God.
He says in Hebrews 12:28 “28Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an ACCEPTABLE SERVICE WITH REVERENCE AND AWE; 29for OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.”
We need to fear God, we need to come before Him in awe and reverence, in fear and in respect. Those who do not respect Him do not know Him and they will not become heirs of the Kingdom of God. Many think they are saved and waiting to go to heaven, they have never started serving God yet. We need to wake up and get ourselves under the yoke of Christ, be led by the Holy Spirit of God or we will not become heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven.
May Jesus bless you.
