Planted by the stream

Jesus requires of us that we bear fruit for His Kingdom. He said that:”The branch in Me that does not bear fruit will get cut off and thrown into the fire” The tree that does not bear fruit is close to being cursed. The reason why people do not bear fruit for the Kingdom of God is because they are not focused on Jesus. Jesus said that:”The one that remains IN Me bears much fruit.”

If we maintain focus on Jesus Christ, if we are continuously seeking to please Him, we fill our hearts and our minds with Christ, then we will produce fruit, but if we become worldly and conformed to this world, take our mind off Christ, focus off Him, then we are close to be cursed. I read from Jeremiah 17:5. 'Thus says the LORD,“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD.”' Dear friend, if we become occupied with the things of this world, conformed to this world, then we become like the world. We lose our interest in the Kingdom of God and we are close to being cursed, but when we focus on Jesus continuously, then we are like a tree that is planted next to the water stream, as we read in Jeremiah 17:7,8 '“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will NOT BE ANXIOUS in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.” So many Christians are anxious, they are worried about tomorrow! They are so concerned, they are filled with black thoughts. It is because they are not planted at the water stream, it is because they are not focused on Jesus Christ. They are conformed to this world, they are being filled with that which the world gives and they are full of fear and anxiety, they are close to being destroyed!

Jesus said:”If the light in you is darkness, how great is not that darkness.” Dear friend, we need to focus on Jesus Christ, turn our back to the world and the things of the world, put our trust in Christ and not become conformed to this world. If we are conformed to this world, then we fill ourselves with the filth of this world. It gets into our mind and it destroys us, we are cut off and we are burned. Get your focus on Jesus, fill your mind with Christ, get rid of all that trash that you have got, the TV, the media, the worldly friends, all the things of the world and focus on Jesus! Be planted next to the stream, and the stream of life will flow through you.

You will lose the anxiety, and instead of anxiety and fear there will be HOPE because you are planted next to the stream and you know that God cannot fail. Above all, friend, you will bear fruit of righteousness and holiness, and you will be fruitful for the Kingdom of Heaven! Because if you are planted next to the stream, you are seeking to please Jesus and you BRING OTHERS TO HIM. Dear friend, are you bringing others to Jesus or are you becoming conformed to the world? Are you just like the world or are you bringing others OUT to follow Jesus with you?
