You cannot repent every day

There are some people that say that they repent every day of their sins. At night before they go to bed they ask God forgiveness for the sins that they did in that day. Dear friend, you have never repented, you have never started following Jesus and you are not receiving forgiveness, because you are not serious.

To repent means to turn away from your former lifestyle, to turn away from sin, to turn away from pleasing yourself and to live for Jesus. It means that you sin no more. You have died to sin and now you are living for Jesus. If you have DIED for sin, how can you still live TO sin? If you have turned away from sin, how can you go back to sin? It is like the dog that goes back to his own vomit!

Dear friend, you have never repented. If you want to follow Jesus you must first REPENT, you must make up your mind to TURN AWAY FROM SIN, to never sin again. You must make up your mind to die to sin and to live for Jesus, or else, you are not serious and you cannot be following Jesus. You will not get forgiveness if you are not serious about repentance.

Have you truly repented? Do you pick up your cross every day, deny yourself and follow Jesus, or are you still just a sinner?
