A Holy Nation

God’s people are a separate people. They are a holy nation, they are not sinners. They are IN this world but not OF this world. They do not participate in unrighteousness. They are the Light of the world, the salt of the earth. They are rejected by this world and especially by the hypocrites, people who profess to be children of God but who are conformed to the world.
God’s people is a holy people, they are separate onto the Lord. Peter wrote about God’s nation in 1 Peter 2:9-12 He says: "But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.
I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.12 Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
God’s nation is a special nation, they only have one allegiance and that is to Jesus Christ, to be pleasing to HIM. They do not seek the approval or the acceptance of people. They are led by the Holy Spirit and they live to please God. They are a separate people, they do not associate with HYPOCRITES, with those who pretend to be children of God but they are conformed to the world. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 5:9 “I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world.11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any SO-CALLED BROTHER if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.” That separates the nation of God, the true people of God from the "church," the worldly churches who all confess to be SINNERS. They are FORNICATORS, LIARS, CHEATS, the profess to be children of God but they are conformed to this world, they are no different from the rest of the world. Separate yourself from them. If you are of the people of God, you will not have anything to do with such people. As Paul wrote REMOVE THAT WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.
God’s people is a Holy people, they walk with God. They are a special people, they do not soil themselves, they do not CONTAMINATE themselves with SIN or with UNRIGHTEOUSNESS because God dwells in them. IF you walk with FIRE then you are ON FIRE and then the FIRE of God goes out from you. Darkness runs away from you. Hypocrites will HATE you and PERSECUTE you. Sinning Christians will PERSECUTE you because they are of satan, they are not of the Holy Nation of God. Are you of the Nation of God? Are you separated onto God. God is a CONSUMING FIRE and if the Spirit of God is in you, it will consume you and those around you who are impure. Do you belong to God’s Nation, God’s Holy Nation?
