Salvation is not a hook up

Society has become absolutely promiscuous and artificial. Words like “I love you” have no meaning. A relationship is just a hook up, a casual relationship. There is no commitment and people think that they can carry that same attitude to their relationship with Jesus Christ. If you want to follow Jesus you need to be totally committed. It is not just an acquaintance, a quick fling. It is an utter change in lifestyle. It is a total commitment to follow Jesus, to obey Him until death. If you are not willing to enter into that commitment then being a child of God is not for you.

If you WANT to follow Jesus you must make up your mind, you must deny yourself, pick up your cross every day and follow Jesus. YOU CANNOT HAVE A CASUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS. If Jesus is not your life, and if you are not aware of Him every moment of your day, your night, your entire life; if you are not living to please Him all the time, if you are not focused on Him all the time, PRAYING, SEEKING HIS APPROVAL and DOING what He tells you to do THEN IT IS NOT FOR YOU. Then you should not even attempt it because Jesus requires utter and total commitment. He gave His life so that those who believe in and who COMMIT to Him, so that they can have eternal life.

It will cost you everything or you will get NOTHING out of it. Salvation is not just a casual affair. It is TOTAL COMMITMENT and TOTAL HOLINESS, TOTAL OBEDIENCE to Jesus Christ.
