That is why you need to break with the world, you need to break with your friends. When you wake up and you realize that those people at church are not serious about Jesus. Do not think that you will change them, they are happy the way that they are. You cannot change the world and that is why Jesus said, we must COME OUT. He didn’t say: CHANGE THE WORLD. He said: Come here, follow Me. If you stay, you will become like them, you will not change them. At best you will make yourself unpopular and then later, you will conform to their values again. Come out from amongst them and be separate, that is what the Lord says. If you are a child of God, then you’ve got to come out and follow Jesus Christ and hope that by your testimony you might won some to Jesus. We read in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Paul wrote: "Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, and what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE, says the Lord. AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; and I will welcome you. And I will be a Father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.”
You will not change them friend, you will also not get on with your walk with Jesus. COME OUT from amongst them. Spend time with Jesus, get to know His voice, follow Him and do what is pleasing to Him. You cannot change the world. You need to follow Jesus Christ and become a son of God. May Jesus bless you.
