There is nothing more important for a child of God than to fix his eyes on Jesus and to follow Him, because if we allow ourselves to be distracted we will fail. I read in Hebrews 12:1 “let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, which for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.”
We cannot afford to grow weary and lose heart, we cannot afford to be distracted. We cannot afford to look at: “What is my brother doing? What is my sister doing? What are they not doing?” Many people are so concerned about what others are doing. We must concern ourselves with our own walk with Jesus, we must obey HIM and not allow anything to distract us. Peter was rebuked by Jesus a few times. Peter said to Jesus:”What about this guy? What about John?” We read in John 21:21 “Peter therefore seeing him said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?” 22Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? YOU FOLLOW ME!”
We must follow Jesus, friends, we must not allow ourselves to be distracted. We must not allow the devil to distract us. Even Peter himself, he tried to rebuke Jesus, and what did Jesus say to him? He said to him:”Get ye behind me satan, because you are a stumbling block for me. You are thinking of the things of men. Dear friends, we must fix our eyes on Jesus and seek to be pleasing to Him all the time, or else we will not make it. We cannot be distracted, we cannot afford to look at what others are doing. Many people are meddlers, they are worried about what their brothers are doing. get worried about what god wants “ME” to do not what He wants “YOU” to do, friend! Because if we start looking at each other then we ourselves become unfruitful, because ewe take our eyes off Jesus!
He called you for a job and He called me for a job and each of us will be rewarded according to what we have done and also we will be punished for what we have NOT DONE! Narrow is the door and few there be who find it! May we run this race in such a way that we find that narrow door. May we work in such a way that we please our Master.
May Jesus bless you.
