Believers DON'T WANT the Holy Spirit - They HATE GOD

God promised to pour out His Spirit on all flesh but men are not interested in the Spirit of God, they don't want the Spirit of God and that is why they are not receiving the Spirit of God. They want the desires of the flesh. Believers are running after the things of the world, THEY DON'T WANT THE HOLY SPIRIT! They want the things of this world. They want to be rich and famous, they want to be like the celebrities. They want to have a lot of money. THEY JUST DON'T WANT GOD. They don't want holiness, they don't want Jesus. They don't want the Holy Spirit, because maybe they will pick up some “evil spirit” - it is just an excuse! God knows your heart, YOU HATE HIM!

He promised His Spirit to all of us but if we don't want Him, He will not force it on us. If we do not have a DESIRE FOR the Spirit of God, He will not force us. He promised His Spirit on THOSE WHO WANT HIS SPIRIT. We read in Acts 2, peter spoke on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:16-21 ” but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: 17‘ AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,’ God says, ‘THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT UPON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS; 18EVEN UPON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy. 19‘ AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE, AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BENEATH, BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE. 20‘ THE SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME. 21‘ AND IT SHALL BE, THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.’

People just don't want the Holy Spirit. God never changed, His promises never changed. The gifts of the Holy Spirit never changed but people changed, THEY JUST DON'T WANT GOD! They don't want His Holy Spirit!

He has promised the gifts and He WANTS to give it, but they don't want it, He says in verse 18 “EVEN UPON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy.” Why is is not happening? Because there are no bondslaves! They don't want to be slaves to God, they are rather slaves to sin! They are not interested in God!

When the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost the disciples were waiting on the Spirit, they went to Jerusalem and THEY WERE PRAYING, in one accord, THEY WERE WAITING, THEY WERE YEARNING! THEY WERE SEEKING! And God poured out His Holy Spirit on them! Are you seeking? Do you want the Spirit of God? Do you desire the Spirit of God? Do you desire God? He won't force Himself on you. Believers don't want the Spirit of God.

He will pour out His Spirit when we start crying out to Him and say:”Lord, give us Your Spirit! Lord Give us Your gifts!” If we hunger and thirst for righteousness, that is what we will have, but if we reject God and we are looking for the things of the world we will not receive the Spirit of God. AND THAT IS WHY THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS NOT IN CHURCHES. THE CHURCHES ARE FULL OF SINNERS, WICKED PEOPLE WHO REJECT GOD. They are running after the desires of the flesh, after their own lusts, and that is why God is not in the churches! But the judgment of God is coming on this world friends. Either we are in the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of God will overtake us, it will destroy all other kingdoms. Which kingdom are you part of? What are you full of? Are you full of the Holy Spirit or are you full of your own lusts, desires of the flesh? If we do not seek the Holy Spirit, we will not receive. We need to seek, cry out and we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, as they asked Peter on the day of Pentecost.

“What shall we do?” Acts 2:38 “And Peter said to them, “Repent, (TURN AWAY FROM SIN!) and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39“ For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.” But not if you don't want it!

God will not force Himself on you. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD YOU DO NOT BELONG TO HIM! Romans 8:9. If you don't want it, you have no business with God.

Do you have a desire for the Spirit of God? Do you have a desire for the gifts for the Holy Spirit? Do you desire to be part of the Kingdom of God? If not, you are none of Him! The problem does not lie with God, it lies with men! They just HATE GOD! They don't want Him. Do you truly love Jesus? Do you REALLY want the Holy Spirit?
